Dawn sat down in front of a mirror as she gently brushed her hair with Piplup beside her.
"You sure like keeping your hair nice, Dawn." Bonnie smiled.
Dawn chuckled at her, "if you'd like, I'd be happy to style your hair."
"Oh, that would be super fun!" Bonnie said excitedly as she jumped up and down her bed with Dedenne.
Serena watched from her bed as Dawn brushed her hair over and over. She then got up and went into the bathroom to rinse her face. She then noticed a bottle of bleach and smirked.
A few minutes later, she walked out of the bathroom and saw Dawn finish braiding Bonnie's hair. "Thanks so much, Dawn! I love it!" Bonnie smiled as she went over to her bed and showed Dedenne her hairstyle.
"Dawn!" Serena smiled as she walked up to her.
"Oh, Serena." Dawn smiled.
"Since you like keeping your hair nice so much. I thought I'd share some of my special hair care product that I just got from town!" Serena said.
"Really? That's so nice of you!" Dawn said.
"No problem. What are friends for, right?" Serena smiled. "Here, I'll help you." She put some of the contents on her hand as she rubbed it onto Dawn's hair who was oblivious to what was happening.
"It'll take all night to actually work but once it does, your hair will stay nice and neat!" Serena smiled.
"Thanks so much, Serena." Dawn smiled as she wrapped a towel around her head and got into her own bed to drift off to sleep.
The next morning
Serena woke up and looked over at Dawn's bed to see that it was empty. Bonnie's bed was empty as well. She got up, dressed into her usual clothes and went into the cafeteria hall to find that Bonnie, Clemont, and Ash were all sitting together eating breakfast.
"Morning." Serena smiled.
"Morning, Serena. Hmm? Dawn isn't with you?" Ash asked.
"Actually, I haven't seen Dawn this morning either!" Bonnie exclaimed.
"Maybe she went into town to get something?" Clemont assumed.
Just then, Piplup came running in frantically getting Ash's attention. "Piplup? Where's Dawn?" The penguin Pokémon looked very worried and started pointing in the direction where it's trainer was as they all followed it outside of the Pokémon center.
They went around towards the back to see someone sitting down on a crate. "Dawn?" Ash called out.
"No! Don't come any closer.. please." Dawn sobbed.
"Are you crying? What happened?" Ash asked.
"Please, Ash.. just go away. I don't want you to see me like this.." Dawn pleaded.
Ash knew what she meant and chuckled at her. "Come on, Dawn. I've seen you with bed head before so it can't be that bad, can it?" Ash smiled.
"No, this is a lot worse than that.." Dawn sniffled.
"What can be worse than—"
The coordinator turned towards the trainer who looked at her in shock. He didn't know what to say. All of them were shocked, except for Serena, to see that this was way more than just bed head.

"Dawn.. what—" Ash started but was cut off.
"Don't start! I know, it looks hideous.. it's horrible.." Dawn sobbed.
"Oh, poor Dawn.." Serena said.
Dawn looked up at the chestnut haired girl and clenched her fists. "You did this to me!" The whole group stared at the coordinator in shock. "What are you talking about?" Serena lied.
"You gave me that hair care product and this is what happened to my hair!" Dawn cried.
Serena gasped, "oh no! I didn't realize... I forgot to tell you, Dawn. It only works on brunettes."
Dawn stared at the girl in front of her. Why? Why would she do this? What did she ever do to deserve this kind of treatment? Dawn took one of her now bleached locks of hair and started to tear up.
"Oh, don't be sad, Dawn. I think it really suits you." Serena smiled.
"Yeah, you look even more beautiful!" Bonnie said, trying to lighten up the mood.
"You don't get it.." Dawn cried. "I was always teased for having blue hair.. always.. but.. One day, someone told me that I had hair like the ocean.. eyes as beautiful as the sky.. and since then, I've never wanted to change the way I looked. Not even once.."
Ash looked at the coordinator sadly. He never thought he'd see her cry this much. He then went over to her and sat next to her as he put an arm around her and pulled her close. "Hey, you still have eyes that are beautiful as the sky. Whether your hair is blue or not, it still looks great to me." Ash smiled.
Serena glared at the two as she turned on her heel and walked back inside the Pokémon center. Clemont clenched his fists as he went after her with Bonnie following behind.
Grr.. Just you wait, Dawn.. this battle is only getting started.
Woo! Hope you liked it. :D it was some weird idea that popped into my head but yeah HAHA. BTW: I tried to get close as I could to bleached blue hair so please bare with it D; But who thinks Dawn actually looks cute with bleached hair?
