...

Aria

"I'm not crazy, Ben," I say, sighing and sitting on the edge of my bed. "I saw him. I really did,"

Ben sits down next to me, our legs touching.

"I'm not saying you're crazy my love, but I think you've been sleep deprived," he tells me slowly.

Of course he doesn't believe I saw Dad. Why would he? I wouldn't believe me either. But I'm not making it up. It was so real. His touch, his warmth, his everything. Nothing about it was fake, I would swear to it.

My eyes go wide when I remember the note he left me. I stand up quickly, and walk over to my dresser, opening up a small box on top and riffling through it. I pull out the note and unfold it, handing it to Ben.

"He left me this," I say. Ben gives me a weird look before taking the paper in his hand, his eyes scanning over it.

I must have read it about a thousand times. It occupied my mind at the end of filming party so much so I thought I was going to throw up.

Chills take over my body again as I think of it and what it says.

"Heirs has the power to bring the past and future together," Ben reads. He looks up at me, not knowing what it means.

"And then he signed it," I say, pointing at the note. My own father autographed a note to me, his daughter. How Freddie of him.

"I just don't get what it means," Ben says.

I sigh. It was supposed to be a secret but I can't keep it from him right now. It would make me seem more crazy than I already am.

"Heirs is the name of the band the boys and I are forming," I explain, sitting back down next to Ben.

"I like that name," Ben says, slightly off topic. "Because you're descendants of Queen,"

"Exactly," I respond.

Ben sighs. "I just - I'm confused," he says. I reach over and take the note out of his hand, re-reading it for the hundredth time. It's his hand writing too, I know it.

I stand up abruptly, walking out of my bedroom.

"Aria?" Ben asks form behind me.

I continue through the hallway upstairs and into a room I haven't been in in forever. I hear Ben padding down the hallway, following me. I take a deep breath and open the door.

It's cold in here. Definitely colder than the rest of the house. On the wall to my right I flip the light switch.

It's decorated the exact same way from when Dad and I lived here. I haven't touched it really. Only to come in and occasionally clean.

I walk over to the desk thats against the far wall. I hear Ben enter, but he abruptly stops.

"Is this..?" he asks.

"Yes," I answer, knowing he was about to ask if this is the original Freddie Mercury room.

I open one of the drawers. It contains letters upon letters that he wrote, mainly to me. I pull one out and lay it flat on the desk next to the note I got. Just what I thought. The handwriting is the same.

"See?" I say, stepping back to let Ben look at it.

He carefully walks over, and examines the two letters. He doesn't say anything for a little while, but I can tell he's starting to believe me. I mean the proof is right there.

"And you're sure this wasn't in your pocket previously? Like prior to going on set?" Ben asks.

"You watched me dress," I say, blushing as the words come out. "It would have fallen out when I put my shirt on over my head and then we were together the whole day. And when we weren't together I didn't have time to grab it. I wouldn't even know where to get it from," I hastily reply.

Ben sighs again, his eyes not leaving the two letters.

"So Heirs - your band - can bring..past and future...together," Ben says slowly. He turns to look at me.

"I'm thinking it means musically. How since we're basically Queen 2.0 we are kind of representing Queen in a new way," I tell him, not knowing if what I said made any sense.

"It makes sense. I mean that's bringing past and future together," he agrees.

I look down, my emotions high right now. I feel Ben's presence as he moves closer, his hands finding my waist. I look up at him.

"You do realize this is fucking crazy right?" Ben asks me.

"I'm not making it up-" I go to argue.

"I believe you," Ben tells me. "Logically it makes no sense. I've always been skeptical, but it feels too real to deny,"

I smile, liking the fact that Ben believes me. He might not believe I actually saw Dad, but at least he's starting to believe that the note is real. I think he thinks it was written previously but some force made sure it landed in my pocket. I know what I saw was real some how, but I don't press Ben to understand that. I just need his support.

"I need a nap after trying to explain all that to you," I say, laughing slightly as I place both my hands on his chest.

"I need a nap after listening to that," Ben replies.

"I think I'll take a couple shots before I try to explain that to Luke, Rufus, and Jimmy. Oh! Should I tell Brian and Roger?"

"They don't know about your band yet," Ben reminds me.

I frown. "True. I'll tell them when the time is right. Hopefully soon,"

Ben leans forward and kisses me gently.

"I love you, you know? No matter how insane you might be," he says, grinning.

I roll my eyes. "I love you too, no matter how bland you are,"

I pull out of Ben's touch, and put the letter and note in the desk for safe keeping. I make a mental note to buy a frame for it. I need to preserve it. If anything happened to it - well I don't know what I would do.
