Kiss Me Awake (Part II)

"I'm angry."

"Oh wow. I'm the one with a broken lock," Malfoy chided. "and apparently you are interrupting something. Something really important."

"For your information, you can buy a lock in a store and Harry is right here you can snog him anytime but right now shut up."

"Wh-how-Hermione-I..."

"I'm so sorry Harry, I didn't mean to burden you with this," She pointed towards Malfoy who was making a face at her,"creature, but you know I always help a man in love and—"

"You what?"

"Oops. Uh heh heh...for the assignment, I mean, you know brewing....potions?"

"YOU KNEW?"

"Oh lord here we go." Hermione muttered and laughed awkwardly. "Uh well you see umm Malfoy asked me to teach him more about this world—"

"Oh?"

"And that's it."

"Okay?"

"Okay?" Hermione scratched her neck and then gave up seeing Harry's critical stare. Hermione mentally slapped herself for almost outing the blonde when she was the one he kept his secret with.

"I wish to petrify a certain Weasley forever, the urge is so prominent," Hermione sighed trying to smoothen one of her curls which gave a counter and went back to it's initial state.

"A Weasley? Ron?" Harry asked confused, and Malfoy gave a satisfied grin.

"We agree on something for once, Granger." Malfoy said. A minute later, a glare from the said girl had him coughing softly, saying a small "maybe twice." before shutting up all together.

"What did he do this time?" Harry asked, relaxing on the sofa.

"Why? Huh, he asks why," Hermione states to no one in particular. Malfoy just shrugs. Harry made a face at him which he shrugged off again.

"Because," Hermione starts. "Because he's being a complete arse, Harry. That's enough reason."

"Wow." Harry blurts out, stunned.

"Precisely. But hasn't he always?" Malfoy tries to muffle his obvious laughter.

Hermione didn't say anything. Harry could tell from how hardly she was frowning, that she sorting things out in her head and she probably wouldn't answer anything.

"Well, if you two would kindly leave, I am going to get a nap for myself. I choose the sofa." She said, waving her hands in a dismissive manner, shooing them out of the living room.

Malfoy gave an incredulous laugh being thrown out of his own house, and flopped down on their front porch.

"So," Harry started.

"Yes?" Malfoy was looking at the sky, turning darker. It was fascinating how vast of a sky could fit this small of a world.

"London is not the only world, you see," Harry carefully made his place beside him and followed his gaze. "And if you're thinking about worlds, to be honest, we are not the only world it's holding."

Malfoy looked lost, trying to comprehend what Harry meant. But he was further lost into his introspections.

"That means, it's holding us too?" Malfoy's face showed signs of a child's curiosity whose world was not the printed words of a geography textbook, but the seamless bounds of his heart. Harry smiled.

At times like this, Harry knew that it was this Draco he liked who did not have the mark of a Malfoy etched into his soul. The Draco whose heart was as pure as the bright side of moon, who did not know the longitude and latitudes of the darker side.
