Unexpected

Chapter 2: Interrogations

It only took Kol about a half hour to get to Mystic Falls from New Orleans on foot. Once there, he immediately started his search for Elena Gilbert, who he'd planned to kill for helping Jeremy Gilbert kill him.

Kol didn't know that Jeremy was also brought back or he'd have plans to kill the hunter as well.

He started the search at what used to be Elena and Jeremy's house, that was now in charred ruins, half expecting Elena to be there talking to one or the other or both Salvatore brothers about the old days. She unfortunately wasn't there. Kol then went to the Salvatore boarding house. He knocked and almost burst out laughing at Damon's started expression. Kol raised one eyebrow and asked, "Something the matter, Damon?"

Damon swiftly attempted to close the door, but Kol was quicker.

He kicked the door in, looked into Damon's eyes, once again compelling him. "Invite me in and offer me a drink." Kol said as he felt a slight smirk tug at the corner of his mouth. Damon gave a fake smile and asked, "Would you like to come in for a drink?" Kol gave a simple nod and stepped inside as Damon poured him a glass of whiskey and handed it off. Kol took a small sip before Stefan walked in with the same startled expression Damon had worn.

Foolishly, Stefan rushed over to try throwing Kol out.. But once again, Kol was quicker. Swiftly breaking off the leg of the table where some alcohol was kept, the alcohol going all over the floor, Kol stabbed Stefan in the stomach right as they were face to face. As Damon rushed to try to help Stefan, Kol wickedly smirked and snapped Damon's neck with one hand as he reached the two. Kol turned his attention back to Stefan and put on a kind smile.

With Stefan barely conscious and bleeding profusely, Kol grabbed Stefan by his hair, lifted his head, looked him in the eyes and compelled him, "Tell me where Elena Gilbert is."

Not being on vervain made Stefan vulnerable to the Original's compulsion and was forced to talk, "She's at Mystic Grill with Jeremy and Alaric."

Kol's smirk was soon replaced by a sneer, but quickly turned back into a smirk. Now he would get to kill Jeremy himself, along with Elena. He smiled at Stefan and let go of the table leg, allowing Stefan to collapse onto the floor as the Original exited...
