Kol leaned against the wall, glaring at his mother. How could she be alive? Who could have brought her back? And WHY did she bring him back? All these thoughts were driving Kol mad. What motivation would Esther have for wanting Kol alive again? It didn't make sense. Finn was the only one of his siblings she trusted because of his pathetic death wish.
Whatever reason Esther had for bringing back Kol, he was going to find out one way or another. Still glaring at his mother, Kol asked, "Why? Why bring me back? Last time I checked, you saw us as abominations." Esther closed her eyes for a brief moment and replied, "Because neither your father or I know where your sister is. We need everyone of you to complete the linking spell... but if you find her you may keep your life. I won't link you."
Kol knew his mother was lying. He could hear her heart skip a beat. Why would she lie if she knew Kol would be able to know?
Esther smiled softly at Kol and said, "If you agree to our plan I will lower my boundary spell." This was his chance. if Kol could convince his mother he would help her, she would let him out and he could escape. Slowly, Kol nodded with a fake expression of sincerity. It only took his mother moments to undo the spell and free him. Kol stepped slowly out of the room. Esther smiled at her son, Kol giving her a half smirk and swiftly throwing her against the wall. Esther hit her head on the wall and then on the floor when she landed, knocking her out. With Esther temporarily out of commission, Kol left the house and fled to his most favorite town in the world. A place where he had unfinished business with the Gilberts. Mystic Falls...
