Chapter Seventeen

"okay okay would you rather have a hot make out with london for 20 minutes a day or drink pee twice a day" Alex says plopping another chip in his mouth

"drink pee" Noah answers quickly "no questions asked"

"whose up for a bonfire" Jade says coming back from somewhere "they are setting it up now"

We all nod ours heads and get up from our places. I start to walk away but a hand wraps around my wrists stopping me from going anywhere

I turn around to see Noah with a pleading look on his face. He looks as I'd he wants to talk to me really bad

"hey nic" Alex yells "you coming?"

"I'll be there in a second" I yell back then turn to Noah whose looking down "what's up Noah" I say and he shakes his head

"can we go somewhere else?" he asks looking up at me, I nod and I lead him through the trees

The path leads to a clearing near a lake with a couple bench around it. I walk towards a rock near the water and sit on it as Noah takes a sit beside me

He silent for a few minutes as we just sit there, looking out into nowhere in our own thoughts

"do you like Alex" he asks and I shake my head, he opens his mouth to say something else but I cut him off

"can I be completely honest with you" I say and he nods "Noah I don't know what to say at that statement, I don't know how I feel but I know that I don't like Alex in a more than a friend way. to be honest, I still don't know how I feel about everything and I don't know what to do. all I know is that I like you, I don't like anyone else. you are the one who has been there for me, cuddled me, kissed me like no one could ever kiss a girl. you hold me as if I'm a fragile piece of glass waiting to get broken again"

you broke through those walls I had around myself, I haven't wore my Hoodie for a month and a half now and if it weren't for you I'd probably still be wearing it. you have done so many things to make me cherish you for being there for me and I have no idea how to thank you. Noah you have to know that I really do like you and I don't like that the fact that we have to pretend to date cause I know in my heart I want it to be real"

I know your probably thinking how dumb I am for saying this and I know you probably don't feel the same way but I just want you to know that you are the only one I've liked for these past few weeks and I know I don't wanna lose you to having some dumb fight about one of your closest friends" I say slumping in my position

He looks stunned. That's all I could say

Wait did I seriously just confess to liking him, gosh I'm such an idiot I know he's not gonna say the same and-

I'm slapped right out of my thoughts when Noah's lips land on mine in a soft kiss. I cup his cheek with one of my hands and put the other on his shoulder, keeping the kiss slow. His hands caressed my hips softly as his lips moved in sync with mine

Noah pulls away lightly leaning his head against mine. His eyes are closed lightly taking in the moment before he opens them and are met with my hazel ones

"i like you to Nicky" he says and I smile "only you"

I pull away fully, getting off the rock and putting out my hand. He takes it getting off the rock as well before walking back to the campsite. In the distance we see sparks of fire and look at eachtoher smiling. We walk to yet another clearing, I hear a guiter playing and soft lyrics coming out of the person as they all sit around the camp fire

I see our group of friends sitting at a near by tree not to far away from the fire and walk towards them, pulling Noah along

Noah sits down, leaning against the tree and spread his legs, patting the spot in between. I smile, sitting down in between his legs as he wraps his arms around me, suddenly making me warm

"so after this trip who wants to come ice skating" Emma pipes up and we all nod

"great so how about next saturday" jade asks and we all nod yet again

They all start having there own conversations about there own things as Noah tangles his fingers in my hair making my eyes become droopy

I close my eyes for a quick second and the next thing you know I'm pulled into darkness

"Nicky" I hear a soft yet raspy voice say, stirring my from my sleep

I roll over and snuggle my head into the voices chest, shielding the sun from my eyes. A chuckle comes from the person and I groan, snuggling my head further into their neck

"no" I mumble as the chest moves away, sitting up "why must you do this to me" I pout sitting up next to Noah

Have I ever told you how hot you look in the morning?

"no" Noah chuckles beside me and I smile, my thoughts running over to yesturdays events. My eyes widen and I bring my hands to my mouth, covering it

"shit I told you" I mumble looking at him as he nods "shit oh shit" I say getting up and out of the tent, grabbing my phone on the way

"nic" Noah says getting out of the tent behind me. I check the time and it showing up as 11

"where is everyone" I say and noah shrugs

"they went out hiking" he says, putting his hands in the front pockets of his jeans

"im sorry about yesturday, um I guess I was just stressed and I didn't think I knew what I was saying or doing and-" I'm cut off again by his lips

It was short but still sent tingles down my spine. He pulls back and grabs me by the shoulders

"stop apologizing" he says softly and I nod my head "nic I really really like you. im not sure what to do about this but the things you said last night got me thinking about you and me. if we hadn't have met, if you hadn't taken off your hoodie for me, where would we be today"

"i don't wanna fake date anymore" he says making my heart sink and my head to "hey hey hey" he puts his thumb and pointer finger under my chin, bringing my gaze up to his "but it doesn't mean i wanna not date"

"what are you saying we do" I ask and he stands up straight, holding the sides of my shoulders

"Nicole Andrews will you be my not fake girlfriend" he asks and my eyes light up

"yes but you know it's really annoying if you answer my question with a question" I laugh as does he. I wrap my arms around his neck pulling hin close to me and he does the same with my waist

He pulls back from the embrace and smiles catching my lips in a soft yet needy kiss

"now I officially own you" he says picking me up and spinning me round in circles making me laugh, throwing my head back and enjoying the moment

"hey you two!" Jade yells and we look over to her "stop your love fest and come get some brunch"

"you ready?" Noah asks and I nod my head getting out of the car and grabbing my bag front he back seat. Camping ended today, meaning school. Luckily the teachers said we could go home for today and tomorrow and rest before coming back friday

Noah grabs his bags out as well before catching my hand and I intwining it with his. We walk up to the porch and I unlock my door

I walk in dropping my bags followed by Noah as we walk through the house, trying to find my dad

"dad!" I yell and hear him call from the kitchen

"in here!"

I wlk to the kitchen to see a women with long dirty blonde hair reaching about mid waist with her back to me. I see my dad with a light smile on his face

"here she is" he says making the women turn around. My eyes widen as the women's hazel eyes look straight into mine

"honey are you okay" She asks helping my up from the floor

"yeah just a graze" I say flipping her off before hopping back onto the swing

"be careful honey don't want you getting hurt again, do we?" she says with a small laugh and I nod my head egally

"mom" I say in a soft whisper
