In a world of magic, mayhem & mystery there was a quiet elven goddess named Luna.
Luna lived in a small village of elves, orcs & everything in between.
She stuck to herself mostly until one day when she felt an overwhelming feeling of fright, panic & loneliness. Luna went to her normal doctor & asked her what had happened to her.
The doctor had seen this before, and had to tell Luna the bad news that she was possessed by a panic demon named Xiety. The doctor sent Luna to a demonologist in a town that was quite the trek away but knew that she could help.
Along the journey to the town of Relica she passed some mysterious folk, but nothing out of the ordinary. Luna arrived at Relica and was greeted by the demonologist herself, Amber.
Amber led Luna to her store and checked Luna's symptoms, she was certain it was the demon Xiety. Amber told Luna that she would need to go into the middle of the Corrupt Forest of Astrakhan & find a certain crystal that is common only in the depths of the forest. Though it was getting late so Luna asked Amber if she could stay the night which Amber agreed to.
In the morning Luna left Amber's place & 'ventured into Relica & bought some supplies for her journey to the Corrupt Forest, food, potions, weapons and some other bits and pieces that might come in handy. She summoned her horse with her abilities, the horse had fur the colour of the night sky, and a bright white moon across its right eye.
Luna set off on her journey to beat this demon.
About halfway to Astrakhan she stopped in the small village of Eden to stay the night. Luna went to the Inn and bought some dinner. While eating there was a fight between the bartender & an intoxicated guest. Luna stepped over to the guest & asked why he was being so rude to the barkeeper, the drunk yelled at her & threw a punch. Luna dodged the incoming attack & returned the favour, the drunk, shocked at her fighting ability quickly paid the barkeeper & ran off. The Innkeeper saw all this and gave Luna the room for free.
The next morning Luna continued on her travels.
Once she arrived towards the outskirts of Astrakhan she had to ask around for the whereabouts of the Corrupt Forest. She went to the first farmhouse she saw and knocked on the door. A frail old woman answered the door, Luna asked directions & the woman had a terrifying look on her face then invited Luna in for some tea & a chat.
The woman warned Luna about her adventure into the Corrupt Forest, Luna questioned why & the woman told her a story.
Many years ago there was a war that my Grandfather fought in, it lasted years until most of Astrakhan's troops were dead, not only theirs but many other neighbouring kingdoms troops as well. At the end of the war there was a great explosion of darkness that then birthed the Corrupt Forest.
The woman went on to tell Luna that the creatures in there were as vicious as anything & had extraordinary abilities. Luna took her warning in mind but still asked for directions.
The woman sighed and told Luna where to go.
Luna reached the edge of the Corrupt Forest & could already sense the demon growing stronger, the feelings of fright & panic grew stronger the closer she got. The moment Luna stepped foot into the forest she heard an unholy shriek that sounded like it came from every direction. As she 'ventured further into the forest the darker it got. Luna whispered
"Lux Invitare" & a bright white glowing star appeared in her hand which lit up the area around her.
Not even a minute after she casted the spell she was attacked by what seemed to be a pack of wolves but they weren't ordinary, it was like every bit of happiness & light within their being was sucked out. They had pitch black eyes and purple fur.
