How were they to react? What was she to do? How was she suppose to do it? Clarke sits there, her mind remaining in awe, complete awe, the type of awe she recalls feeling when being hurtled in a dropship filled with a hundred teenagers to Earth. But this isn't like that, no, this is nothing like that at all, this is something bigger, a picture more criminalized and mysterious, something to be fearful and worried about, but while also experiencing the slightest dash of intrigued emotions, its all allowed. A new planet. An entirely new planet, in an entirely different star system, on an entirely foreign edge of the galaxy. This can't be real, it mustn't, none of this has to be happening. But it is. Do they deserve this? A second chance. This just may be one, a fresh start, for everyone. For Bellamy, for Abby, for Octavia, not to mention for Clarke's self. All she could do is thimble around her thumbs, eyes glued to the window. It stays there, a mere perception of glory, while also a reflection of grimness. What if awaits on this planet is worse than Earth? What if whats down there is something they never could've imagined? Monty didn't provide much clarification on the videos he and Harper had left, but it isn't his job to figure out whats down there, its everyone here's job. Its time to be the good guys.
"Still watching?" A familiar voice inquiries, entering the room. Clarke peers over her shoulder at him, Bellamy. He makes his way over to her, plopping down beside her. The two haven't been up for more than an hour. They still remain in their Eligius cryosleep jumpsuits, the both of them weary from a 125 year nap.
"Yeah...where is Jordan?"
"He is in the cryosleep chamber, looking at everyone else...I'll tell you, the kid sure is persistent."
"Just like his dad and mother," Clarke half smiled, soon frowning. "They want us to do better. Do you think its possible?"
"It has to be," Bellamy assures her, staring deep into her eyes, locking a gaze. His beard still seeming new to Clarke, never has her closest friend looked so foreign, here now.
"What do we even do? Where do we even start? Who do we wake up?"
"We wake up who we need to. Doctors, pilots, fighters...then we go down there and find out what happened to Eligius III. We have to find out if they made it or not to this planet, and if they have...god only knows what we'll encounter."
"I wonder if there is extraterrestrial life."
"For our sake lets hope not," Bellamy mutters, arising to stretch his back. Clarke remains seated, her left hand tousling through her hair, an anxious groan being released. Madi is on her mind. As much as she wants to waken the child, she knows she can't, not until they're assured the new planet is safe. Not only is her mind dwelling on Madi, but Abby. Her mother, while they need a doctor to come with them, bringing her mother is out of the question, Jackson will have to do. Bellamy makes his way over to the monitor, noticing a bunch of coordinates and numbers processing on the screen, he raises a brow, ignoring it all while using the touchscreen interface to browse through the different cryosleep chamber settings. Clarke finally arises, waltzing over beside him, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Wake Echo."
"I don't think I should."
"How come?"
"We don't know whether it'll be safe down there or not...we should only bring who we need to."
"Shes a fighter, we need a warrior like her. Plus you haven't seen here since you went to sleep...she needs to be alarmed of the circumstances and what we have to do."
"I suppose so..." Bellamy moves down the list of cryo chambers occupied, selecting Echos. "Who else?"
"Jackson. While you wake him you might as well wake Miller."
