The Exordium

Overwrought! As soon as Rider Black set his foot on the land of Zolterra, the permanent, lingering smell of musk and dust attacked his nostrils straight away. Never had he ever thought that a town could be this lifeless and empty.

After taking his adventuring backpack that was full of food and expensive traveling gadgets from the bonnet of the yellow taxi that he traveled with, he busily dig for his wallet to pay the driver; in fact he was too busy searching for the house of his money to even realise that the cab was long gone. When he turned around, the empty air left him stunned. That's weird. That old man has totally forgotten his money! Rider thought to himself. I'm not even surprised if he has also forgotten his attitude at home! After all, he did look like he wanted to choke me alive when I told him about this town. That dude's totally the definition of creepy! He laughed out loud, shaking his head in the process.

Meanwhile he strapped and adjusted his backpack on his sweaty, well-built, toned back; he took a second to examine his surroundings. Distinct, granular land that was covered with crumbly stones was all his pair of striking green eyes could devour. The surroundings were very peculiar and it's a mystery how the grey sand could also make the sky gloomy. No roads, no shops, no cars."Wow! What an interesting exordium to my journey!" He noted, his words dripping with sarcasm.

After walking companionless for half an hour and fifty nine seconds; yes, he was keeping track of the time; his nerves were starting to increase. Rider tried wracking his brain, in search for any signals for his gadgets to work; but none were found. The olive-toned guy was starting to grow more impatient every time his digital watch beeped, signaling a minute had been taken away from his life.
