Chapter 22

"Baby lets go we're gonna be late and you know Harry hates that". He called out carrying all the suitcases

"Im ready Ethan, here pass me a bag". I said reaching out for one and he slapped my hand away

"No you don't carry anything while I'm around. If you want or need something you tell me. I don't want you or the baby to get hurt. Now lets go before your dad chops my head off". He said and we drove off for two hours.

"Finally you made it. Ethan its your fault you guys are late". Poppa said and Ethan look towards me for help

"It was my fault I've been feeling a little tired lately, I'm sorry poppa". I said lying

"Its still his fault because he got you pregnant". He said

"Can you just hug us and show us inside already". I said laughing

Everyone looked happy to be around each other. There was Courtney and Maddie playing with Mia. Dad was putting food on the grill and poppa was still interrogating Ethan. I looked around but i still couldn't find Mason

"Hey you guys". I screamed out catching their attention and the two little ones ran to me

"Uncle Luke, lulu". Madelynn and Mia said

"Aww i missed you guys. I brought you both some toys uncle Ethan has them but poppa is bothering him. Why don't you girls go over there and get them". I said and they ran to Ethan

"Wheres Mason i haven't seen him in ages". I said to my sister

"I don't know where he is, Maddie and i have been here for a few days". She said and she tells me everything that has been happening since Maddie's been born. I feel like i failed as a twin brother for not knowing my sister needed help. Even though we haven't been close these few years i still should have checked in on her. We started talking about our lives and time seemed to go by.

"Just know I'm here for you and Maddie. If you guys need anything just ask me, i love you both". I said and she said it back

"Im gonna call it a night and head to bed. Ill see you guys in the morning". I said and me and Ethan went to my old room

Louis' P.O.V

"Since when do you smoke cigarettes". I asked Courtney

"Its not lit daddy. I just hold to my mouth and think about about lighting it, I'm to scared to smoke a cigarette". She said

"I know stress when i see it. I do not encourage this but you look like you've been through hell". I said pouring us some vodka and handing her a shot

"You need it more than i do. Tell me whats going on sweetheart". I said as we both took the shot back and i refilled the glasses

"Ive been struggling trying to come up with money to support Madelynne. I feel like a single parent. Daddy how did you raise both Luke and i alone, it seems impossible". She said

"Your grandmother was always there for us just like I'm here for you. Honey why didn't you tell us you needed help. We're your parents thats our job. Is that why mason isn't here". I said

"I left because Maddie shouldn't be living there thats why we came here. A place she could feel love in every room and be a kid and not listen to her parents argue. I told Mason if he doesn't get his act together were not coming back home". She said taking two more shots back to back

"There's always room here for you, Maddie and Mason. Why don't you go have a spa day tomorrow and check on mason and i'll watch Maddie for you". I said

"Thank you daddy for everything, i love you so much". She said letting tears fall down her cheek.

Mason's POV

Goddamnit! What are we going to do! Ever since I lost my job I haven't really been doing anything. I don't know what to do! I feel like a failure. I can't even provide for my girls! What am I going to do?! I need to find some way to make money for us but what? What can I do. I'm only 22 and I have no idea what I should do? Maybe I could bar tender? Thats when an idea hit me, one of the guys i went to high school with use to talk about how he made so much money in one night selling weed. I know its not the best thing to do but its what i have to do to provide for my family.

"Its Mason, i was wondering if you can put me in contact with your dealer. I need money an hopefully he has a job for me". I said

"Never thought you were one to sell drugs, meet me by the gas station near the high school and i'll bring you to him". He said and hung the phone. I just hope i can make a decent amount of money so Courtney can see that I'm at least trying here.

"You got here pretty fast. I already called him and he wants to meet you, if he thinks your ok then he'll put you work". Jay said and led us into a dark alley and into an abandoned house.

"Mason this is the boss man himself Paul". Jay introduced us and i held my hand out to shake his but he just stared at me.

"Check him and make sure he's not wearing a wire. What happened to you that made you want to sell". He asked and a tall diesel man with a gun patted me down against a wall

"I have to provide for my family and this is my last option. I know you don't know me but". He held his hand up i guess signaling for me to stop.

"Do you trust him jay, do you take full responsibility for his actions". Paul asked jay

"Yes, he's a trust worthy guy Paul. He can do this and i do take full responsibility for him. Ill keep an eye on him so No one messes with him". Jay said

"I want you to both drive down to blue ridge and deliver this to one of my contacts. Ill text you guys the address, be there in no more than 2 hours and you guys will split $10,000 now leave". Paul said and it sent chills down my spine. If i can keep making money like this Courtney and Madelynn will be home soon. I know I'll probably regret this later but I have to remember I'm doing this for my family.
