Luke was nervous.

The kind of nervous that makes your palms sweat and your mouth dry. His stomach was in knots and he could barley say a complete sentence without messing everything up.

It was his first day of work. Granted, it was just a babysitting gig but it was for the Irwins; one of the most prestigious families in Chicago. Although Luke had already met Charlotte Irwin and made a promising first impression on her, he didn't want to mess things up with her children or more importantly, her husband, Luke's boss.

So, when Luke had woke up this morning over an hour early, he ironed his best dress shirt and tamed his headful of curls to be sure he looked perfect. He was not going to mess this up, no matter how nervous he got. This job meant the world to Luke, it was the only thing going to get him through college.

The blonde mustered up all of the courage in his body and knocked on the ruby red door in front of him. He waited a good five minutes before the door swung open and Charlotte ushered him inside.

"Oh, good, I'm so glad you're here," Charlotte sighed in relief. Her red hair was halfway curled and she was still in her pajamas and all Luke could hear was the two chatty toddlers from the kitchen. She finally turned around and looked at him, locking her dark brown eyes with his electric blue ones. "Oh, Lucas, you look wonderful!" Her smile was almost contagious causing the corner of Luke's lips to turn up slightly and his nervousness to die down.

"Why, thank you! I didn't really know what I was expected to wear for the job," Luke's hand scratched the back of his neck as he watched Charlotte laugh at his response.

"Honey, you could show up in sweatpants and I wouldn't care!" Her kindness eased Luke's nervousness until there barley was any anymore. He began to laugh with her feeling comfortable already. "Now come on love, let's have you meet the boys so I can finish getting ready to leave," Luke followed her into the kitchen where Luke was met with the most precious little boys he has ever seen. They both had curly blonde hair and tan skin. The oldest of the two had light brown eyes while the youngest had the most gorgeous light green eyes. Luke gushed at the sight in front of him.

"Mommy! Can I have more pancakes now?" The oldest son pleaded giving his mother adorable puppy dog eyes.

Charlotte laughed, "Yes, love," and then she gestured over to Luke, who's nerves had gotten the best of him once again, hoping for the approval of the kids. "But first, I want you to meet your new babysitter, Luke, he's going to stay here with you while mommy and daddy are at work!" She clapped excitedly before fixing the pancake that he wanted.

The little boy's eyes widened and he gasped loudly, "I'm Elijah and this is my little brother Oliver, but you can call us Eli and Ollie!" Luke almost melted right then and there, he already had nicknames for them.

"Those are awesome names! I don't really have a nickname so I guess you can make one for me," Eli had the most adorable look on his face as he thought about Luke's new nickname. He didn't talk again until after he finished his last pancake.

"Luke is a hard name to make one for! I don't have any ideas," The boy huffed and puffed before crossing his arms in defeat causing Luke to chuckle. Before Luke had the chance to reply, the most unexpected thing happened.

"I like Lu, I'm gonna call you Lu," Luke's ears were filled with the tiniest little voice and he died. It was quite possibly the cutest thing that's happened today. Ollie locked eyes with Luke and blushed before looking back down at his plate.
