Eventually, the train came to a stop and you all unloaded into a little dusty town. You all scrambled out of the train carrying your things. You wandered around the town for a little bit before you found a small cafe. You walked with Avdol to the counter while everyone fought over which table to sit at. The line wasn't very long, so you didn't have much time to decide on what you wanted.

"You really like him, don't you?" Avdol asked. He examined the menu and stepped up when another person left the line.

"What?" You could feel your face heat up a little. What kind of question was that?

"It doesn't take a keen eye, (Y/N). Those two are trouble." He chuckled and shook his head. It was finally your turn to order. Avdol listed off drinks for himself and the rest of the gang and glanced back at you when he was done.

"Oh, I'll just have a small milk tea, please." The clerk nodded and scribbled on a slip of paper. She smiled up at you and you could feel yourself blush. You turned away and cleared your throat. Avdol handed over a few bills and walked around to the other side of the counter. You waited behind him for a moment before walking over to the table. You were going to sit beside Jotaro but is face was dark, he looked almost furious. Kakyoin looked a little distant but it seemed like it'd be better to sit with him.

Jotaro huffed when you sat down next to Kakyoin, pulling his hat down once again. You and Kakyoin shared a curious glance. Avdol returned to the table and you watched him place the drinks on the table. Polnareff smiled up at him and took his drink giddily.

"You remembered my favorite!" Avdol laughed.

"Of course." You grabbed your tea from the middle of the table and smiled at Kakyoin. He lightly tapped his cup to yours and grinned back at you. You took a sip, it was delicious.

"I think I saw a motel sign a few stores down from here," Joseph said. "We'll go check in once we're done here."

You followed behind the rest of the group as you left the small cafe, walking into the heat from the air conditioned building. You prayed that the motel also had ac. You let the door close behind you as you walked into the small office. Looking around, you saw a few occupied chairs and a magazine rack. Joseph haggled with the clerk for a while before turning back to the group.

"Alright, I only got three rooms." Jotaro groaned and Polnareff and Avdol shared a glance. "Two twins and a single." Jotaro groaned even louder and walked out.

"We'll share," Avdol declared. Polnareff took the key and they left together. You looked over at Kakyoin and he smiled back at you.

"I wouldn't mind sharing with (Y/N)."

"Oh, I thought she might want a room to herself."

"I'm fine sharing." Joseph handed you the key. You glanced back at the door. "What about Jotaro?"

"I'm sure you wouldn't mind sharing with this old man as well." Kakyoin shot Joseph a murderous glare.

"We can figure that out when he's done sulking." Kakyoin led you out of the office. You checked the number on the tag and found your room on the other side of the motel. You didn't see Jotaro on the way to the room, maybe he was off brooding in some alley.

"Do you really think Jotaro will be okay with this?" He laughed and smiled down at you as he opened the door.

"Probably not."

You figured you would be staying for a while, so you unpacked some clothes and put them in the dresser. You claimed the second drawer while Kakyoin took the one just below yours. You fell back onto the bed with a soft "oof". You rolled over to watch Kakyoin as he quietly folded his clothes. He caught your gaze and grinned back at you. He tossed his jacket on you and sat down next to you.

"Its quiet without him," he muttered.

"Yeah." You must have jinxed the silence as there was a loud banging of the door. Kakyoin got up to open it and Jotaro walked in.

"The old man said I was in here." Jotaro looked at Kakyoin's jacket draped across you and grimaced. He kicked off his shoes by the other bed and studied it for a moment. "(Y/N) and I will take this one."

"I think (Y/N) would be much more comfortable sleeping by herself-"

"I don't think you understood me." He walked over and grabbed Kakyoin's jacket, tossing it further down the bed. You sat up and started to protest when he cut you off. "You two are always so damn annoying anyways."

You pulled your hair over your shoulder and played with it. You glanced at Kakyoin, who was very distressed, to Jotaro who seemed mildly indifferent. "I don't mind sharing," you whispered.

"(Y/N), are you sure?" Kakyoin asked. You nodded and quietly sat on the edge of the bed.

"We could push them together." Jotaro glared at you. "Well, these beds aren't very big and I thought everyone would have enough room. Plus it's a little chilly." You rubbed your arms as if you were cold. You hoped Jotaro would buy your excuses.

"That sounds like a good idea." Kakyoin backed you up. Jotaro mumbled something and pulled at his hat. You stood and watched as they pushed the two beds to the center of the room, Jotaro begrudgingly moving the small bedside tables out of the way. While they worked, you snuck into the small bathroom to change. You could vaguely hear them arguing while you got ready. They fell quiet as you walked out into the main room.

"Whatever, I get this side," Jotaro gently folded his jacket and placed it near his shoes. You watched the boys get adjusted under the thin blankets and crawled in bed between them. Jotaro wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you back against him, you could feel the steady rise and fall of his chest against your back. You looked at Kakyoin and softly pulled at his red hair noodle. His hair seemed almost maroon in the darkness. He gave you a soft smile and took your hand in his, gently twining his fingers with yours. You smiled and closed your eyes. Maybe one day they could learn to share.
