Black Sheep's POV

I was listening to Coach Brunt explain our training at V.I.L.E Academy, when she mentioned me by the oh-so-familiar name of Lambkins. A guy in front of me snickered.

"Lambkins. Didn't know V.I.L.E. had a mascot!" That got me angry. I yanked him back by the hair.

"Only my friends get to call me Lambkins. My code name is Black Sheep. Do you understand? Nod if you understand." He slowly nodded in shock.

"Good. Sorry Coach Brunt! Continue!"

The rest of the orientation was fine. Soon after, I was lining up my nesting dolls on the table next to my bed.

"Oh look, the little kid has dolls! Mind if I see what's inside?" She reached out and was about to grab the one that held my phone when the guy from earlier came up.

"Ah... I wouldn't if I were you. She's a tough one." He had an Australian accent, and wasn't from anywhere nearby.

"Hmph. Fine. Keep your little treasures and dolls." She strode out of the room quickly. Bitch.

"Sorry 'bout earlier. My name's Graham by the way, but I go by Gray. Can we start over?" I gave him a small smile.

"Sure. I'm Black Sheep."

I had made some quick friends, and enemies, already. Gray and I talked about his previous life. He worked as an electrician's helper down in Australia at the Sydney Opera House since he was 13, until recently when he turned 17. He realized he could do a lot more with his life by turning out the lights instead.

"What about you?" he asked.

"Me? Oh, um... Hey, we better get to class! You know how Professor Maelstrom is." I didn't know much about my past, and was a bit scared to share it.
Gray and I did a lot together. He was my best friend. I would call Player too, and talk with him.

The year went by quickly, and soon it was time for the final exam.
