Author's Notes:
The story is meant to be an alternate ending for the
third arc of Wings of Fire, staged shortly after book twelve of the original
series, and is also the prequel to my version of the WoF fourth arc.
Many of the events come from my personal theories about the aforementioned
books, so expect some pretty wild events in the next hundred or so pages!
As this work was written before the release of books thirteen
and onward, so details may conflict once those books are released.
Also, this is a work in progress, so chapters may change without prior warning.
I will try to avoid spoilers and plot inconsistencies altogether,
but I'm not perfect, so please be gracious and point them out gently!
