Chris pov
I woke up and was getting ready for school. After I got done getting ready I went down stairs and my mom greeted me with a smile.
My mom: Hey honey, how'd you sleep?
Me: Hi mom, I slept good, what about you?
My mom: I slept okay, you want some breakfast?
Me: Yes please. ( sits at the table)
( She started cooking and then my dad came downstairs and dapped me up)
My dad: Hey little man, how you feeling about your first day? ( kisses mom's cheek)
Me: I'm not worried about it. I got it in the bag.
( I started eating my breakfast)
My mom: Hey honey, don't forget you have your basketball game tonight. ( starts cleaning the dishes)
Me: I know mom, I remember. ( drinks my juice) Dad, will you come tonight? ( looks at him)
My dad: Sorry Chris, I can't tonight. ( rubbed my back) I have a meeting tonight with my employees.
Me: It's okay dad, this isn't the first time I heard this excuse. ( gets out of my chair and goes upstairs to get my shoes and my backpack)
My mom: You know damn well you really not going to that meeting! (washes the dishes and puts them away) Why are you lying to him?
My dad: What the hell are you talking about woman?! I would never lie to my son!
My mom: You lied to me, what's the difference? ( starts the dishwasher)
My dad: When did I lie to you? ( sits at the counter)
( I came downstairs with my backpack on and my parents stopped fighting)
Me: I'm gonna be late to school. ( grabs a apple out of the fruit bowl)
My dad: Come on Chris, let's go get in the car. ( grabs his car keys)
( I hugged my mom and got in the car)
Me: Hey dad?
My dad: ( buckles me in) What's up son? ( gets in the front seat and starts the engine)
Me: What's up with you and mom?
My dad: Don't worry about it Chris, you're not old enough to understand what's going on. ( pulls out the driveway) Lets just get you to school ok?
Me: Yes sir.
( We got to the school and my dad put the car in park)
My dad: Remember what I told you son.
Me: I know I know, I got this dad. ( I unbuckled and opened the car door) Bye dad.
My dad: Bye son, have a good day.
( I shut the door and walked into the school)
Principal: Why hello there, my name is Principal Fern, what's your name? ( goes to my height)
Me: My name is Chris, nice to meet you Mrs.Fern. ( smiles)
Mrs. Fern: Nice to meet you too young man, if you need anything please come to my office ok? ( stood up and smiled back)
Me; I will, thank you Mrs.Fern. ( walks into the classroom and goes to my cubby and saw this girl standing next to me) Hi, I'm Chris.
The girl: Are you talking to me? ( looks at him)
Me: Yes I am, what's your name? ( puts my backpack on the hook)
The girl: My names Adenia. ( goes to sit down at the table)
My thoughts: What's her problem? ( rubs my chin)
( I walk over to the table and she stood up)
Adenia: What are you doing? ( crosses her arms)
Me: ( shocked) Can I not sit here?
Adenia: No you can't, I know who you are. So please leave me alone. ( sits back down)
Me: You do?
Adenia: Yes I do, you're Clinton Browns son, and your sister put my brother in jail for something he didn't even do!
The teacher: Quiet please. ( reads her book)
Me: First of all, you don't know what really happened in the first place , and second of all, don't make assumptions about me when you haven't even gotten the chance to really know me! ( goes to the other table and sits down)
( Adenia was shocked and didn't say a word.)
School bell rings
( I went to my cubby and saw Adenia grabbing her backpack)
Me: Adenia? ( grabs my backpack)
Adenia: What Chris? ( looks at him)
Me: I wanted to apologize for how I acted. ( pouts)
Adenia: You're forgiven. I gotta go, see you tomorrow. ( leaves the classroom and goes home)
( my mom picks me up and we go home)
