Hi guys this is another story. A little different from my last one, spiced with drama and juicy stuff. Hope you all like it.

JEAN BRODY^

Jean needs coffee. The human body is not meant to wake up this early, but alas he has to go to work, crime waits for no one. By the time he gets to the station everyone is already buzzing about. Looks like there is a case and when there is a case, there is always a body. This is the thing with Portland, crime is at an all time high.

He sees his partner Hank, he is talking on the phone In a frantic manner and Jean wonders what is going, on you never can tell what's gonna happen in Portland.

"Hey Hank what's the situation today." He asks his partner and best friend Hank.

"A jogger found a body in the forest, and have to go check it out so come on." Man he really doesn't stop to take a breath.

They get to scene, they've seen a lot of bodies in their line of work as a police detective so nothing surprises them anymore but this takes the cake. The body is half gone, probably eaten by the animal or maybe cut out and dropped somewhere. It looks like an animal attack but at the same time a homicide. "We have to rule this a homicide, there are signs of strangulation around the neck area, and it looks like she was tied up for a long time maybe kidnapped. Hank check missing person report let's see if we can identify her. Someone get forensics over here, it looks like she died before being eaten by the animal." Jean says while taking note of the crime scene.

"This is nasty, she was dragged here I'm guessing by the animal so we have to find the place she was dropped off by the killer." Hank says examining the crime scene.

"We have to find the other half of her body." They leave the body and the finding of the other half of the body to Wong, he is a uniformed cop also a close friend of Hank and Jean.

The half that we see is the upper half and she is wearing a Red hoodie but what is strange is that there is a very large boot trail leading to where the body is and the area is already isolated so non of the police did it and the boot size is a 14. It cant be the person that found the body because that's a woman and theses prints belong to a very large man. Something about this doesn't add up, there are no animal prints that would lead us to believe that an animal chewed her apart."

"Hank let's go talk to the jogger that found the body shall we, let us know what she saw at that particular moment." Jean said still trying to find anything that would lead us to finding any clues on this body." He looks thoughtful for a moment.

"I think that is great idea, looking at this body all day is not going to give us any clues unless maybe we find the other half of the body."

"Ok great what do we know about the jogger." Hank looks through the files on his hand, Jean guessed it was info on the jogger and he was right when he started sprouting out random information of the jogger.

"Her name is Merilyn Murphy, 28 years old and works in a law firm. Its not too far from here actually."

"Then let's go." Jean says already moving towards the car. The drive was only 20 minutes long. It was tense, they were both stuck in our own minds, thinking and trying to decipher the cause of death and the person or animal that could cause that much damage. They get to her firm in no time. He gets out of the car to look around the area while Hank contacts her. Once he is done he joins me outside car to wait for her. Then they start talking.

"Hey man I tried calling you during the weekend but I couldn't get you what was that about cos as far as I'm concerned you always pick up your phone." Jean smirks thinking about the package that he is carrying in his pocket.
