"Sunny, wake up honey. Time for school," I groaned and covered my head with the blanket. "Sunny, come on," mom sighed and grabbed the blanket off of me. I whined. "Just five more minutes mom! Please? I promise I'll wake up!" "What time did you go to sleep last night?" "Around three this morning." "Why?" "I was studying. I have an exam today and I want to be prepared," she sighed again. "Okay. I'll give you 30 minutes then I'll come and wake you up," she kissed my forehead and cover ed me. "Thank you, mom," "No problem," she left my room and I sighed happily. At least I have 30 minutes to sleep. Let me introduce myself. Sorry you had to see me wake up grumpy. I'm Sunshine or Sunny for short. My parents are Aurora "Claire" And Michael Harrington. They've been married since Mom graduated high school. As soon as she graduated, Dad proposed to her. Talk about a graduation present. They went to college, had my older brother Blaze then me. Blaze is three years older than me. We also have our Aunts and Uncles. We have Uncle Adam, Andy, and Ethan. Then Aunt Alexis and Liv. Ethan and Liv actually got married and had a child named Sadie. Sadie is actually my best friend/cousin. She's not really my cousin, but Aunt Liv and mom were best friend in high school, along with Uncle Ethan and dad. They've been best friends since middle school. Grandma and Grandpa on Mom's side comes to visit us at least three times a month. Grandma and Grandpa on Dad's side usually just send us a $200 check for our birthday. For Christmas, they give us $500 each. That's our family. Crazy, but functional. ☀️☀️☀️ I felt someone shaking me. "Sunny, get up, baby girl," I sat up in bed. "Morning, baby girl. Time for school," I nodded and got out of bed. He kissed the top of my head. I sighed and stretched. I walked to my closet and looked through it. I decided on a gray hoodie, overalls, and my white Fila. I went to the bathroom, thankful Blaze and I have separate ones. I took a shower and did my hygiene. I got dressed and did a little makeup. I straightened my hair out a little bit and fluffed it.

I grabbed my bag and went downstairs. "Morning, mom and dad. And Blaze," I kissed them on the cheek except for Blaze. "Really? You're not gonna give your big brother a kiss?" "Nope!" I smiled at him and grabbed a bowl and poured cereal in it. I grabbed some milk and pout that too. I sat down at the table and ate my cereal. "Hmm. Gotta go," Dad hurries and finishes his coffee. He kissed mom on her cheek then us. "Love you guys." "Love you too!" We replied. He smiled and left for work. Not long after, mom got up to go to work too. "I'll see you guys this afternoon!" She kissed both of us and left. That means I have to get going too. Mom is a high school English teacher and also works at a senior citizen retirement home as a nurse. She only does that job when they need her or short on staff. Dad is apart of this big company and is actually the CEO of it. He's actually really popular in L.A. Everyone at school knows who I am because of my dad. It gets a little annoying sometimes because everyone asks for a job there. Anyway, I told Blaze bye as I walked out the house and started walking to school. My school is about a 15 minute walk. "Hey!! Sunny! Wait for me!!" I turn around and see Sadie running towards me. "Hey! Sorry I'm late!" "It's okay, Sadie." "You look really pretty today, Sunny," she smiled. "Thanks, Sadie. You always look cute everyday." "Awe, thank you! Are you ready for our exam today in English?" "Yeah, I looked over my notes a million times last night. I fed pretty prepared." "I do to. I pulled an all nighter trying to study for it." "I did the same thing. My mom let me sleep an extra 30 minutes today because I stayed up so late." "I just snoozed my alarm clock a bunch of times," she laughed and I did too. We continued walking to school and our other friend, James, met up with us. "Hey, guys," he smiled at us. "Morning," we replied. "Ready for English?" He asked. "No," Sadie and I said at the same time. He chuckled at us. We talked the whole way to school. Once we got there, Paris, called over to James. "Man, what this bitch want?" He sucked his teeth. "Your girlfriend is calling," Sadie teased. He rolled his eyes and sighed. He walked over to Paris. Sadie and I laughed as we looked at him. "Let's hurry up and leave him," I told her as we walked away. We walked into school, laughing. "Let's review those notes for English," I said out of breath.
