Midnight starts with a low hum, blowing off the leaves on the empty alley. The light posts flicker, creating static noises that soothes down the quiet night of August. Jaemin grips tightly on the pocket of his hoodie.

"It's fucking creepy late out this night, aren't you scared?" He glances at the shadows, cracks, the empty spaces, the dark, where people fear the most. Jisoul chuckles, sighting where his brother's eyes are directed, which is everywhere, "You know, humans are scarier."

The darkness never bothered Jisoul, like how the cold never bothered Elsa, unlike her brother, unlike everyone else. It gives her the comfort she needs. It's like being alone in the dark, you can be yourself. Now she ponders to her brother's fear, everyone's fear. People tend to fear the dark, the shadows, and the spaces that lie between what can and can't be seen. Foolishness lingers in them for they cannot see that whatever is walking with them in the light is what true fear is.

"I'm never gonna accompany you to work ever again." Jaemin shivers as soon as they step inside the cold area of the convenience store. The familiar white tiles, white walls, and the smell of mixed goods somehow stirs in something unknown in her mind to which she brushes off. "Well is it my fault that you worry too much because you deeply love and care for me?" She retorts.

"I do not deeply love and care for you, for your information. I'm just a concerned citizen of Korea." Jaemin bitterly mutters, holding his phone near his mouth while doing his rounds around the chocolate aisle. Jisoul stands behind the counter and fixes her uniform, pinning her nametag.

"Down the alley, at the end of the street, you'll see a store... No this ain't a troll i'm really here for fuck's sake Hyuck... Fine! Fine! I'll buy you that stupid popsicle... Okay Love y-" Jaemin looks at his screen, the call disconnects before he even finishes. She looks at him weirdly.

Jaemin's picked up by his friend, whom she never lays eye on the tan skin before, a new face. His brother shot her a daring smile before exiting. It's around one in the middle of the night when boredom strikes her as soon as the pack of bothersome customers have left the store. Her eyes slowly drift but when the thought of cctvs picking up her 'normal yet prohibited' behaviours, she forces herself woke and decides to play SuperStarSM when a notification pops on her home screen.
