Mommie,
These hands of yours
Have made me
Feel safe even
On the darkest of nights
Your hands have taught
Me every recipe you know
They've comforted me,
Fixed my hair,
Wiped my tears
They held mine tightly
As we lost one of the
Most important men in our lives
I know there might come a day
Where you will not recognize me
But I will never leave you
I'll reteach you the recipes you've forgotten
I'll comfort you when you're scared and unsure
I'll fix your hair
I'll wipe your tears
I'll take care of you the same way
You took care of me
And there will come a day
Where I will have to say goodbye to you
But I will keep loving you
Until the end of time
