*Couple days later*
Cyrus POV:
My notebook was starting to fill up. I had been using it since the beginning of last year, I only had two pages left of it. My parents being the different types of therapists they are- told me writing down what I felt and stuff was a good way to deal with things if I wasn't going to talk about it. I was almost done with my 3rd one. I was waiting for Buffy and Tj to finish up with practice. I watched them as they ran from one side of the gym to the other throwing the ball around and whatnot.

"What you writin?" Tj asks- startling me. "I uh, nothing. No nothing at all just homework" I say quickly closing it up. "It didn't seem like nothing" he says sitting down next to me. "Trust me, it's just homework." I try to reassure him. I was a horrible liar. And he knew it, but he didn't pester me about it. He shrugged it off as he walked off to the locker rooms to get changed. I sighed as I put my books in my book bag. I would die if he found out that I wrote about him in there. Ok maybe not die but I'd be so embarrassed and just  want to hide under my bed forever. I walked to the exit and waited for Buffy and Tj to appear. I wanted to tell Buffy about what I possibly felt towards Tj. But I wasn't sure if she'd be okay. I know they made up and all but it's still kind of weird. And I would tell Andi but she's so caught up with her issues with Jonah.
Buffy's mom was picking her up, she offered Tj and I a ride home but we both declined. I had to ask Tj something anyways.
"Teej I need to ask you something" he looks down at me because of our height difference. "Buffy's birthday is coming up, and I kinda wanna throw her a surprise birthday party. Would you help me with it?" I ask him. "Psh of course! When is it?" He asks. "Saturday" I respond. I start to give him all the details- it would be in Andi's backyard. And it wasn't going to be a big party or anything, I knew Buffy would prefer a small get together rather than a whole fiasco.
"So I still need someone to get the cake and decorate" I tell him. "I can help with decorating! Can I invite Amber?" He asks me. I thought about that for a second. "They made up right?" I ask him. I tried making them friends but I knew Buffy was still uneasy about her. "Amber has nothing against her, I think it's Buffy who's unsure about her." He explains. "Typical, anyways I think it would be fine, it'll be like Ambers chance to prove to Buffy she's not a bad person you know" I tell him. "..Do you think she's a bad person?" He asks me. "No! She's just learning how to cope. I think she's just misunderstood and you know, going through things. I know about her therapy, I know about how her parents-" I abruptly stop. I knew Tj and Amber were siblings but it had never clicked in my mind that they had the same parent issues until I said it out loud. "I- I uh, you know I just think. I don't think she's a bad person at all" I try to end that topic quickly. God how stupid could I be?
"Yeah, so uh who else is coming to the party?" He asks. I could tell he was also uncomfortable with the topic. "Jonah, Andi obviously, Buffy's parents, Andi's parents and grandparents, and Marty if he makes it" I tell him. "Who's Marty?" I couldn't help but facepalm.

TJ's POV:
"Amber!" I yelled when I got home. I threw my book bag on the floor. I check the living room only to find my dad passed out on the couch. I let him be and walked upstairs to look for Amber.
I knocked her door before I heard a 'come in'. She was on her floor in front of the mirror playing around with her makeup, she did this often as a way to distract herself. "Hey question" I say as I sit on the floor beside her- watching as she applied some sort of powder onto her face. "What's up?" She asks not looking in my direction, too focused on her face. "Cyrus is throwing Buffy a birthday party. We're invited- you wanna come? And we need to help decorate" I tell her all at once. "Buffy?" She stops what she's doing at looks at me. I nod my head. "I mean, sure I guess but doesn't she hate me?" She asks. "Not exactly.. but you can be show her you're a good person by helping with the surprise" I smile. She thought about it for a second before nodding. "Ok I'll do it, when is it?" "Saturday" her shoulders drop. "Time?" "Like around 5?" I say. "I can try to make it before then. I have a shift at The Spoon and don't get off till 3. And I still have to come home and shower and get ready." She sighs. "It's fine, I'll be over there before 5 so I can get a head start on decorating. She smiles at me. "Let's hope she doesn't hate me at her party cause that would be really awkward" she laughs. I couldn't help but stifle a giggle. "Yeah that would be" I leaned against her wall. She looks at me for a couple seconds. "What?" I ask afraid that I already know what her response would be. "...Can I put make up on you?"
