She didn't reply the last question, she didn't want to talk about that hurtful memory.

"Danke," Maria said, forming a small genuine smile. "Were you the person bringing me here?"

He back to his previous position; standing beside her bed. "Yes, but I wasn't alone. It's Jungkook who found you first at the alley."

Her eyebrows slightly pinched one another. "Jungkook?"

"Yes. The one with bunny teeth, probably you know him since he sometimes trails after me."

"I see," she moved a bit but the pain stopped her and Namjoon helped her. "So, where is he?"

"Going home to take something. He should've been here –" the door interrupted his words as a figure peeked from the doorway. " –Ah, there he is."

Jungkook closed the door behind him and walked toward Maria's bed. His dark orbs observed the lass intensely.

"Hey," he greeted Maria. Just a thin smile appeared but God knew he was so relief.

Maria pulled the corner of her lips a bit. "Hey."

The man stopped beside Namjoon to see Maria. His attention fell on her blond hair and those beautiful blue eyes. Observing her before giving a manly smile.

"How is your feeling?"

"Mess," Maria said. She was telling the truth. "Thanks."

Jungkook rubbed his nape as he heard Namjoon cleared his throat. He knew that his younger brother had a crush on her so it was quite amusing witnessing their first awkward interaction.

"Nevermind." Jungkook replied.

Soon after a short introduction between Jungkook and Maria, Namjoon decided to leave since he had something to do. He made a promise to Maria that he would come back as soon as the business was done. He also told the younger to take care of Maria.

Taking all his stuffs and saying goodbye to both Jungkook and Maria, Namjoon's figure finally disappeared behind the door.

And that, the room became silent.

They were just awkwardly starring anything but each other's eyes.

Not comfortable with the situation since both of them didn't really know one another, Jungkook decided to break the silence.

"So..." he finally sat down on a chair beside her bed. "... What were you doing last night?"

Those eyes of her darted and landed right on Jungkook's.

Maria let the silence filled the empty room for a moment.

"I believe you have heard everything from Namjoon before the accident," she just wanted to straight to the point since she didn't like to talk that much. Jungkook gave a slight nod. "The man you have been beaten up was drunk and about to rape me."

There was a pause between her sentences as she tried to adjust her position. It was really uncomfortable but the pain was really ... troublesome.

"I fought back, but I was tired and he still had so much power compared to me."

Jungkook knew the rest of the story so he gestured Maria to stop and rested herself. He sighed as he leaned his back.

"Why didn't you let Jimin and Namjoon walked you home?"

The way they talked like they knew each other for a long time. Not like the first time the shared first introduction, but something between them was flowing naturally and made them enjoyed each other's presence.
