"Wait, Rory. Can we talk?" she asked.

I nodded and sat down next to her. "About what?"

"Well, I noticed there is a certain little person missing from our house. I wasn't sure if I should or shouldn't expect them. Your dad never even mentioned them, so I wasn't sure if they were still around," Mom said.

I nodded, knowing who she was talking about. "Yeah, well, she is still around. I left her with Dad," I admitted.

"Can I ask why?" she wondered.

"Lilly is better off with Dad. It is so funny watching the two of them together and his boyfriend loves her. And it's safer there," I explained.

"Lilly? That's her name?" she asked.

I had been staring at the floor, but now I looked up at her. Had no one mentioned that? "Yeah, I think Dad picked it. I'm not sure, I was kind of out of it," I explained, turning back to the floor.

"You know, I wouldn't mind meeting her," she told me.

I scoffed. "Really? It didn't seem like that when you were shipping me off with Dad so that you didn't look bad," I said.

"Rory," she began.

"She isn't coming here, Mom. It's not safe with vampires and everything else. And if I show up with her around here, he will find out," I said. I felt a little guilty for never telling him, but I knew he probably wouldn't even care. I couldn't handle it if he didn't care.

"I wouldn't mind learning who the infamous Him is," she said.

"Yeah, well, you didn't seem too interested to know that either," I reminded.

"That's not fair," she said.

I looked up at her again, my eyes cold. "Does Caroline even know? Or were you too ashamed of your messed up daughter to ever tell your real one?" I snapped.

"That's not fair," she repeated.

"What's not fair is being ripped away from your life when it has already been turned upside down," I said, blinking my tears back as I walked out.

I didn't want anyone seeing me crying, so I went home. I didn't care about Katherine. I just wanted to cry in peace. I walked into the house and heard something coming from my room. "Care?" I called.

I knew she was supposed to be with Bonnie, but I didn't know who else could be in the house. My mom was still in the basement. I started to head to the kitchen to get a knife.

"Nope," my father said, exiting my room.

I froze. "What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Well, you forgot a little something with me," he said, and that's when I heard her.

It seemed like I had to walk a mile to get to my room, even though it took about five seconds. She was sitting in her car seat on my bed. A smile broke out as she saw me. I slowly smiled back.

"Hey. Hi, baby," I said, coming over and unbuckling her from the car seat. I pulled her out and into my arms. She cooed happily, making me laugh. "Hi, oh, I missed you too." I held her close to me, and noticed my father in the doorway.

He smiled at me, and despite the fact that I was a little annoyed he had sprung this on me, I smiled back. I may not want the little four month old in this horrible town, but I couldn't say how happy I was to have my daughter in my arms again.

With both my dad and Lilly now here, I stayed with them while I waited on Caroline to get back with my mom. I spent the entire time with Lilly, having missed her while I was gone. I had only planned to be in Mystic Falls a day or two to make sure Caroline was okay, and staying longer because of everything going on had been killing me.

Of course, as soon as she fell asleep I ended up arguing with my father. The two of us had never had a great relationship, and it had only gotten worse when I got pregnant with Lilly.

"You want to explain why you haven't been answering my calls?" he asked.

I frowned. "I knew if it was an emergency you would send me a text," I said.

"Okay, how about why you took off without telling me where you were going?" he wondered.

"I don't know. I was having a really crappy day and then I remembered that Caroline had gotten hurt and I don't know. I hopped in my car and I left because my life is really messed up," I told him.

"If you wanted to come here, you should have told me instead of running away, leaving me with your kid," he said.

"I'm sorry! I wanted to see my sister, but I was scared to bring Lilly here," I told him, sighing. "I don't know how to explain her to everyone. I was going to come back and get her in a few days and hopefully by then I would have had an idea how to explain this."

I heard a small cry come from my room, and sighed. My father started to stand, but I held up a hand. "I got it," I said.

I went to check on her. "Hi, honey," I said, picking her up. I heard the front door open.

"Dad?" Caroline exclaimed.

I looked at my daughter. "I think it is time for you to finally meet your Aunt Care," I said.

I walked out of my room, finding my parents and sister in the entry way. My mom was the first to notice Lilly. I could see the shock in her eyes. Then Caroline saw her. "Oh, my gosh. That thing is adorable," she said, coming over to me.

She took Lilly, while I smiled. "What's her name?" Caroline wondered. I guessed this hadn't set in with her yet.

"Lilly. Lilly Forbes," I said, hoping she would get that.

A look crossed her face. "She has your eyes," she noticed.

I nodded. "She's four months old," I said.

Caroline swore, very loudly, making both my parents give her a look. "How could you not tell me you were pregnant?" she asked.

"I had my phone taken away as soon as they found out," I said.

She gaped at our parents. "You two didn't think I deserved to know that I was an aunt?" she asked.

I laughed, while our parents shrugged. "Oh, she is so adorable," Caroline said.

My mom was staring at Lilly. I took Lilly from my sister and moved towards her. "You wanna hold her?" I asked. She nodded. I handed the baby to my mom, wishing that everyone had met her four months ago.

So meet Lilly. Honestly, I kind of added her in just for the sake of making a Legacies fan fic when that time comes. She will impact Rory's story a lot and her relationships with several other characters, though. Lilly will also have a very close relationship with Hope. I've already mentioned that Rory will move to The Originals, so even if they don't end up being sisters, Lilly and Hope will grow up together.

Anyway, please vote and comment!!
