Jessa was bound and determined to make the summer of 2018 the best summer she possibly could make it. From sneaking out the house to smoking at least 5 blunts a day she wanted to say she remembered summer 2018. Never did she think her fun would come to an abrupt stop when this Anthony came into her life. It all started at a KFC one night...

Jessa grabbed the broom having about an hour or so until she clocked out for the night. Her co-workers who were standing around joking about some TV show she had heard off but didn't feel the need to laugh out loud even though she found everything to be hilarious she just didn't want to draw attention to herself. She was tired enough and just wanted to go home.

"Why aren't you laughing?". Jessa looked up to see this tall black boy with light brown eyes looking down on her. 'Jesus Jess say something' she thought to herself.

"I'm just uh trying to clean" she said quietly and the boy turned back around to joke with their workers. In that moment she was shocked he actually spoke to her. Being a black female and never dealing with a black boy before raised some suspicion in why he would talk to her. His eyes were so cute so of course she was dumbfounded! She had never seen eyes like that on a boy with that skin color! Despite the fact of swearing black boys off because they didn't take an interest in her she felt something different about this one. She just didn't know how to go about addressing her weird feeling. The end of the night finally came around and she noticed a certain set of eyes were on her but Jessa being Jess ignored it and left to go home.

After a two day break from work she was back at the overly priced chicken store on West street working late again. After finishing up an order in drive, she noticed that same boy from the other night coming back for his 7th drink in the past 10 minutes. She was never a shy girl but when it came to boys she shut down. She refused to do so with this one.

"Have you had enough to drink?" She stared crossing her arms.

"Huh?" He said putting a straw in his cup.

"This is like the 100th time you came to get a drink in the past 3 minutes so..."

"I'm thirsty!" He tried to defend laughing.

"Riiight. Ain't nobody that damn thirsty. Just go back there and do your job" she hid a smile and turned around to take another order. When she was done she turned around to the guy propped up against a stand waiting.

"I'll stay here as long as I want to okay mother fucker?". She smiled. He had a smart ass mouth just like hers and didn't take offense to anything she said. She eventually shooed him off due to chicken needed to be made but later on that night he came back and they had almost a similar conversation.

As the night came to a close and the two were going back and forth between soft insults they find themselves at the front of the store with the lights off. She was getting ready to leave while he had to finish up some more of his stuff since he was busy talking to a certain someone she turned around.

"Hey do you have messenger?" She instantly regretted what she said. She's never been this bold with a boy before so what's so different about this one?

"I do" he said as he was pulling out his phone. She grabbed it trying not to seem nervous as she typed in her name. She looked at him before sending herself a quick message and giving him his phone back. He looked down at his phone before speaking.

"I don't eat ass!" She laughed.

"That's not what you just texted me though". She was expecting her weird sense of humor to ruin any chance of getting close to him but about 2 hours later she received a text from him in all caps saying "I DIDNT SEND THAT!" Her night just went from okay to interesting and she didn't have not one problem with that.

A day passed where they did nothing but text. But she did have work later and she came in and a co-worker she talked to a lot was telling her about to cook named Anthony.

"Yeah, me and him flirt a lot back and forth and I'm p sure I'm going to end up fucking him" she spoke to Jessa. Jessa being in the middle of her hoe phase had nothing but support for her co-worker. But as she was describing what he looked like Jess was slowly starting to realize she wasn't talking about they guy that's been texting he all night. She felt stupid ofc and instantly decided to back off not wanting any drama. She just went to work to get money not into a relationship especially not out of a fast food restaurant.

The next time the three of them worked together she noticed he kept his distance from her and was only talking to her co-worker. Naturally she assumed this was going to happen. She's heard a lot about how unfaithful black boys are through her friends and she didn't expect much from him anyway. She figured they were dating and backed off of him completely until he texted her that night.

"Hey, what happened today?" She was too quick to pick up her phone and reply.

Jessa: I don't know, ask your girlfriend"

Anthony: "I don't have a girlfriend, what are you talking about"

Jessa: well Taylor said you two flirted a lot so I was just assuming

Anthony: I flirt with her because Im bored. I have no actual interest in making her mine.

Jessa knew she should say something to Taylor but the fact that he was single enlightened her to keep texting him for the rest of the night.
