March 17th 2023/ Thursday, 5:54 am/ Yorktown Virginia

It was early in the morning and Caliber had just woken up. He sat up to see his dog sleeping on the end of the bed and the clock with the time 5:55 am. Caliber was now 21 and it has been 4 months since his last assignment. He recently has been training as usual and still lives in the same studio apartment. Not much has changed since the mission. Caliber didn't have to work till 5:30 pm for the Slicers. He laid back down on the bed and laid on the left side of his body. He no longer felt the pain in his left arm as it had healed a month back. While laying in bed he thought about when he was gonna get up.

" 6:30?... No. 7:00 am, That's good." Caliber muttered.

Caliber closed his eyes and fell back asleep after a few minutes. An hour based before he work up and began to start the day. He thank God for giving him life for a new day. He did his normal routine of getting a shower, brushing his teeth, shaving, getting clothes ready, and breakfast. However he always remembered to take BuddyRoe out who was now 8 years old. Caliber the rest of the day relaxed and played video games. 2:34 pm hit when Caliber decided to get lunch ready. Caliber wasn't a good cook so normally he just got basic microwave and oven food. He got a microwave pizza and heated it up. Before eating he heard his phone go off. It was Diana.

" Hello ?" caliber asked.

" Hey Cal it's Diana, I got some news for you my good friend."

" If it's about the dating site and your friend you want me to date., I'm hanging up the phone." Caliber replied.

" Oh my, Caliber please just do it, even your own mother thinks you need to go out at some point. You can't just remain single guy your whole life. I know your only 21 but come on." Diana said.

" Diana, I appreciate it but really I'm fine. I got my dog." Caliber said.

" BuddyRoe I'm sure ain't liking you being home without much to talk to." Diana replied.

" Hey! We both enjoy this apartment very much with just us 2." Caliber said while turning towards the kitchen counter.

" I'm sure that's great. Her name is Jennifer, Very nice Christian Girl I hope you-"

" What are you doing!?!" Caliber shouted as he rushed over to his dog to stop him from eating the whole pizza.

Diana began to laugh over the phone as she could hear Caliber fighting over his dog to stop eating the pizza. After a brief moment Caliber returned to the phone.

" Anyway, We are great." Caliber said

Diana laughed as she heard this comment.

" Anyways. I've heard there's someone joining our team soon. A medical advisor for once, so you won't have to worry about Frank handling that ever again."

" Really? Who is it ?" Caliber asked while taking a bite of pizza.

" Don't know, Before I left the parking lot at work I heard Swishburg talking on the phone about a medical advisor coming in soon. I would assume maybe a week or so." Diana said.

" That will be interesting to see. We still down for Golden Corral with the others tomorrow night after work ?"

" Like any other night, my boyfriends coming also. He said he's off work so I invited him." Diana said.

" Cool, that will be interesting dinner." Caliber replied.

Diana had met someone 2 months after the teams first assignment. He wasn't aware she worked for a special force group, so the team had to say what their " Other" jobs were.

" Oh it will be interesting.. Anyways I got to get off, I'm about to head into Wendy's. See you at work."

" See ya." Caliber said while hanging up the phone.

Caliber slowly turned to see his dog once again eating the pizza on the counter top.

" Hey!!"
