My eyes fluttered open as I looked round to find my own room; I blinked hard and looked around again...how did I get in my room? I got up and suddenly felt a searing pain in my ribs, I lifted up my tank top to find a large purple blue type bruise and it covered half of my side, man, this was gonna hurt tomorrow. I walked over to my door and stepped out to the hallway, it had the faint glow of the dimmed lamps. I started walking to my parent's room, when I got to their door I looked up at the light, there was a moth but...it wasn't moving...it was just frozen with a ghostly blue trail behind it, my brows furrowed. What the hell? I got a chair and placed it under the light then hopped on, I got a closer look at the moth and it's ghostly trail, the tip of my index finger reached out to touch the trail, my fingers glided through it and swishing round my finger, like when you swish cigarette smoke. I reached to touch the moth; it didn't fall like I thought it would. I stroked its soft wings caught in motion. It's like time stopped.

I looked at my parent's door; I got down from the chair and eased it open. I popped my head through and saw them sleeping; if time has stopped, then they're all safe right? I closed the door and went back to my room. I closed the door behind me and leaned on it looking at my balcony window, deciding whether I should go back on the roof or not. I rolled my eyes and sighed, of course I was going to check. It's what I do. I slowly walked to the doors and when I opened them they swung open with a loud bang I forgot to put on my boots so my feet were freezing. I climbed up the ladder and when I got to the top I saw familiar drag lines and my footsteps, I stepped of the ladder onto the roof, the cold snow spacing between my toes. My heart racing, what if I find it? Him...whatever it was. I listened, I heard nothing. My toes were going numb from the cold so I got down from the roof and went back to my room.

I got in my bed and tried to keep warm. what the hell was happening? first I fall of a roof and still live - not that I'm complaining - and now time has frozen...just my night. I sighed. The room was quiet and the only light came from the dim blue glow of my night light. Just then I heard shifting, like a body moving. It was coming from my closet, and surprisingly it was big enough to fit a human...I got up from my bed and slowly made my way over, heart racing and a sick feeling in my stomach. My hand reached out for the handle, and I pulled the door open, and when I looked inside...there was nothing. I closed my eyes and sighed.

Just then I suddenly felt a hand clamp over my mouth and arm wrap wound my stomach, I struggled to break free from their grip and my muffled cries didn't help either, but then I felt lips at my ear

"Don't scream" he whispered, his voice. He has this huskyness to it. I nodded my head in response to his command. His hand slipped away from my mouth and arm slid away from my stomach. I knew he was still behind me because I could feel his body heat and his breathing on my neck. Dare I turn around? Yes. I slowly turned my body till I was face to face with him. I looked into those deep black eyes so opaque, so beautiful. I had never really seen his face let alone his eyes. I took in the rest of his face, his beautiful brown hair, beautiful jaw line...strange thing to find beautiful. He was beautiful yes, but the kind of beauty that hid a darkness. And he did try to kill me. I sucked in a breath and spoke

"Who are you?" i asked, he just smiled

"Shouldn't you be asking what I am?" he said smugly, I nodded meekly "I'm a fallen angel"

"With fangs?" I asked

"Vampires engelis, it's Latvian for vampire angel"

"Very imaginative" I said in my normal sarcastic voice, he smiled a gleaming white smile, one that would make every girl go week at the knees. My eyes skimmed the rest of him. He was dressed the same as before, except he was wearing one of my concert teshirts. As beautiful and angelic as he seemed, I was still scared to death of him.

"Nice teshirt. Where'd you get it?"

"Found it in some hoocies closet..." he said as if it was old news. I cocked my head to the side

"Oh, good. the twat who fell from the sky and tried to kill me is also a smart ass" i turned to walk to my bed but my side hurt too much to do it smoothly. i hunched over slightly as i winced and when i looked up he was standing in front of me

"What did you say?" he asked angrily

"Nothing"

"You scared?" he asked, I shook my head and smiled

"You don't scare me" as soon as I said that, he had me pinned to the wall, but when I looked past his face I realised, we were on the ceiling. Without thinking I grabbed on to him and closed my eyes. Then I felt a weird queasy feeling and I

"I need blood" I lifted my head slightly and discovered we were back to normal, I let go of him and walked a few paces back

"What..." I suddenly felt really sleepy, my eyelids feeling heavy and body feeling limp, he came over and lead me to my bed, then I was consumed by a dreamless sleep.
