"Khushi! Wait up!" Jenny called after me. I sighed and slowed down my pace, letting her catch up. "What do you want?" I asked her mildly annoyed. "I'm sorry, alright?" She laughed, slowing down to look at me.
She was walking backwards and bumped into somebody who sighed heavily. Now it was my turn to laugh, "Oh. Hey Tom, uh, how's it going." Jenny said awkwardly to Tom,
my boyfriend.
"I'm great Jenny, watch out, you might bump into something." He said, releasing a chuckle. "Khushi, are you ready?" Tom asked me. I nodded, smiling softly, "Let's go." I said. We linked arms and I waved bye to Jenny who stood there, poked faced. "Jenny~" Tanpreet called out, making said girl face the other.
"Oh at least you're here. Let's go to McDonald's." Jenny sighed, dragging Tannie off. "What movie?" He asked me as he started the car's engine. "Slender man?" I said curiously. "Won't you be scared?" He questioned.
"Maybe, but I have you to protect me, don't I, Spider-Man?" I said teasingly. "Always." He replied laughing. We both sang along to the radio, people would definitely cringe if they saw us.

"Tom! Large popcorn pleaseeeeee." I whined, bouncing in my spot. He nodded and ordered for us, as I fidgeted with the two tickets for the movie. We selected the spots at the very back, so we have the best view.
"There's our seats." He said pulling me over lightly. "I'm kinda nervous." I whispered to him, I never did well with horror movies, or anything scary in particular. He squeezed my hand which was intertwined with his own and was resting on my lap.
"I'm here, there's nothing to be afraid of, Khushi." He grins childishly, I nod and the movie starts.
As we were so immersed in the film, we met hands in the bag of buttery popcorn. As cliche as it was I blushed and he quickly pulled his hand away. I giggled at his bashfulness and shake my head softly.
Almost the whole cinema erupted with a shriek as the monster suddenly appeared on the screen. I leaned into Tom and he gazed down on me laughing after the fright had passed.
"Tom! Stop laughing!" I mumbled to him embarrassed. "I'm sorry, it's just so-" he began before he tried to muffle his new series of laughter that had just been raised. I glared at him and he immediately ceased his show of joy.
"Okay okay, I'm done." He smiled and I turned back to the screen, taking a sip of my drink. Unknown to me he was still watching me, an affectionate smile plastered on his face.
"That was a great movie." Tom said as we left the theatre. "Yeah a great movie for nightmares." I stated, rolling my eyes. Tom slung his arm around my shoulder and I leaned onto him, not putting all my weight on him.
I tossed out the trash on our way out and he started our journey to my house. "Thank you, Tom." I said, the events of today replaying in my head like a film of its own. "For what?" He asked puzzled, "The date, everything. For you." I smiled.
"Oh come on, you don't need to thank me, I'm your boyfriend, Khushi. It's my job." He said changing the radio station.
"You're welcome anyways. I had a great time today. I always do." He said, being the cheesy guy he is, I wasn't exactly expecting it, but it wasn't that surprising either. I laughed and punched his arm softly at the comment.
We arrived in front of my apartment that I shared with Tanpreet who most likely wasn't home yet, even though she and Jenny only went to a restaurant, they also take their time to shop around at the mall too.
We got out of the car and walked into the lobby, my apartment's rent wasn't that expensive, but it was very fancy. I like living here, with Tanpreet. My friends and I being as close as pages in a book, we all live on the same floor, 3 different rooms. We got in the elevator and waited, my floor wasn't too high up.
"You can have dinner at my place if you want." I offered as we stepped out of the elevator. "Sure, why not-" he began but sighed. "Spidey senses?" I asked. "Yeah. I'm sorry." He sighed. "It's alright, we'll do it some other time." I said.
"Bye, Tom, love you." I said.
"I love you too, Khushi." He smiled before leaving.
