Flower Affair | Vampire Knight

Chapter 1

"Hana, you're not coming again to see the Night Class?" her best friend asked as she got ready to leave. Her name is Tanaka Akasuki, a bright average looking girl with short brown hair. The perfect friend for Hana to have.

Hana finished packing her bag before replying, "No, I'm coming. I've caught up with all my studies."

"That's good! I was worried when you got a B on that test. I'm glad that you're back on track. I was starting to believe in those rumors."

"Rumors?"

Both girls walked out of the classroom together towards the exit.

"You haven't heard? Everyone in the Day Class is talking about how you have a crush on Kiryu-san."

"EHH! Kiryu?!"

"Yeah. Some boys asked me to see if it were true but I told them no. I'm a good friend right!" Akasuki glowed turning to her.

"How in the world did everyone think I like Kiryu?"

"Well I think it started when you were day dreaming a lot. You also stare at him whenever he walks by. Even I notice that."

Hana covered her face with her hands. This wasn't what she wanted to add onto her list of things to worry about. First her grades, second vampires, and now the fact that everyone in the Day Class believes she has a huge crush on Zero! Unbelievable! Hana really wants to wring whoever's neck that started these stupid rumors.

"Hana?"

"Ah yes?"

"Hm, nothing. You were just off in a daze just now."

"Oh I see. No worries," she smiled at the shorter girl. "I was just a bit shock. If anyone else asks you about it, tell them it's not true for me."

"I'll always have your back Hana! Plus, I know you hold Takuma-san in your heart!"

"Yes... I do." Shoot Hana now.

When they arrived it was crowded as always. Even though Hana hasn't been there in almost a month, everything was the same as always.

The two Day Class students stood in their usually spots at the end of the lane near the main school building.

Hana was totally going to miss just going straight back into her dorm room to study.

"Oh Hana, the gates are opening!"

And load and behold, all in their glory, the Night Class students arrived.

"Good morning, ladies!" It was Hanabusa. Hana quickly duck her head. Maybe she shouldn't have come today.

"Kyaaa!"

"Good morning Aido-senpai!"

"You're all so energetic and cute today!" He started waving and blowing kisses to the crowd. Hana really wanted to puke. How in the world can this dud be a vampire?

"Idol... Ah, Aido-senpai..." Akasuki bashfully whispered. Hana quietly sighed as she pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Akasuki, if you want Aido to notice you... YOU HAVE TO SHOUT! And beat all the other girls here."

"Oh you're right Hana. I'll try my best again," she said pumping up her fist. "Aido-senpai!"

She'll get there.

Hanabusa then started to shoot some of the girls with his make believe gun shouting 'bang bang' as Akatsuki followed behind him. This caused a rush of girls from our side to run to the duo.

"Shoot me too!"

"Kyaaa!"

Following behind them were the popular students of the Night Class: Kuran Kaname, Takuma Ichijo, Souen Ruka, Seiren, Toya Rima, and Shiki Senri. The rest of the Night Class trailed behind them.

It was like an hierarchy within the division of the Night Class, completely different from the Day Class. It was very suspicious. 

"Hana, Hana! Takuma-senpai in coming this way!" Akasuki shouted jumping up and down. She had to pull Hana's sleeve to get her attention.

"Takuma!" Hana yelled while smiling. She waved her hand up high making sure the Vice President could see her, and he did.

"Good evening Ikeda-san," he nodded to her with his own smile and continued to walk along side Kaname.

Akasuki pouted, "You're so lucky Takuma-senpai knows you're name. I wish Aido-senpai knew mine..."

Hana hugged the shorter girl and laughed, "Don't worry. He'll know your name for sure."

"How can he?! You're tall and pretty. I'm just... me."

"Hmm? Shall I do a makeover for you on St. Xocolatl's Day?"

"Yes! Hana I would love for you to!"

Some girls have overheard our conversation while heading back to the Sun Dormitory. In the end on St. Xocolatl's Day's morning, Hana will be having quite a few guests in her room. How joyful. Hana could really only tolerate Akasuki but now she has a whole group of girls to tolerate.

The day before St. Xocolatl's Day came. The bell for Day Class to end rang and everyone was getting ready to leave to start prepping for their homemade chocolates for their special someone.

"Hana... I know you usually study after seeing the Night Class off but... Can you come with me to the kitchen and help me make some chocolates for Aido-senpai?"

With that look, how could Hana say no. "I can."

Akasuki beamed with joy, "Yay! I want to make white chocolate!"

"Alright, alright."

"Oh Ikeda-san, you're going to make chocolates?" a classmate asked her.

"Not at all. I'm going to help Akasuki," she glanced at the girl's book. "I see you're gonna make chocolates. Who's it for?"

"Well Ikeda-san, I'm planning to make some nice dark chocolate for Wild-senpai!" she gushed.

Hana giggled into her hand, "I see. I'm pretty sure he'll enjoy them."

"Thank you Ikeda-san!"

"Man, none of us guys here will get any chocolates again this year with the Night Class guys..." Behind them were a couple of male students.

"Yeah... Those damn Night Class..."

The girls only laughed.
