"I swear it wasn't my fault" I said while staring at my feet.

She was gone and wasn't coming back and I knew the full story, which of course no one believed me.

This all started back about a week ago on a Monday and it was a typical school day. My alarm rang at six AM and like every other day I wasn't looking forward to having to leave my warm bed.

But of course I had to or my dad would have yelled at me to get the fuck up.

So I raised up slowly and blinked, trying to fight sleep. Finally, after a minute or two I threw the covers off my legs and stood up out of bed.

I trudged to the bathroom and began my normal routine. I hopped in the shower for thirty minutes, got out and put my clothes on.

After getting dressed I brushed my teeth and went to my room to grab my bag. My dad was already in the car waiting on me.

We took off down the road shortly after that.

My dad asked "how'd you sleep jack?"

I said "uh huh..." with a tired sluggish voice.

He shot me a comical smile and continued to drive. We lived in a woodsy area so the drive to school was kinda peaceful.

It takes about ten minutes to get to my school. When I arrived I hopped out of the car.

"have a nice day." he said, smiling.

I turned my head and said "you too."

I walked inside, thinking today was going to be boring as always but, little did I know that it wasn't going to be that simple.

My school was a one story brick highschool but it was pretty big. As soon as you walk in you're pretty much inside the cafeteria.

My eyes scan over the crowd of rambunctious teens and finally I meet the eyes of my friend Lillian. Her eyes light up and she waves me over.

"Dude guess what!" she said with a lot of excitement.

"What?" I say with a slight smile.

"Last night I was on Facebook and I found something" she was already pulling her phone out of her blue jeans.

"What'd you find?" she turned her phone on and opened Facebook.

"This weird notification popped up and it led me to this site that said your dreams are only a few steps closer" I looked at her with one eyebrow raised and laughed.

"Yeah and the prince of India needed a hundred dollars to get him to America so he could pay me back millions" I said still laughing.

With a frown she said "No I'm serious" she held her phone up for me to see and there it was in her notifications.

The link looked normal. Honestly it looked like a scam. She clicked on it with a big smile.

I doubted it of course because it sounded cliche. When it loaded up it had the title in a bright sparkly blue color. It had an about page and a questionnaire.

The about page read "if you answer the following questions your dreams will come true. We insure one hundred percent satisfaction. Show this to all of your friends to help them out too"

For a real website it seemed really short so it increased my doubt even more.

"Look I know it sounds fake, I thought that too until I filled out the questions. You'll just have to see for yourself"

Sarcastically I said "okay then let me see it" I took the phone and clicked on the questionnaire.
When it loaded up I counted six questions.
