One of her fathers many other rules for her.
She quickly brushed out her dripping hair and walked quickly down the hall with long strides. She was sick and tired of these stupid talks.
Skyler pulled open the door to her fathers office. His desk was piled high with police reports and a knife laid in the middle.
"You wanted to see me Father?" She sat in the wooden chair across from her fathers tall desk chair.
"Rules." He sighed.
"Burned into my brain." Skyler stared at her father with a gaze of steel.
Her father slid a file folder over to her. "Go through that. Find Jeffery and send him to me."
Skyler clenched her jaw and lifted the folder from the desk. "Yes Father." Then She teleported to the small table in the kitchen. It was the quietest place to work and Jeff was bound to come in here soon. It was only eight o'clock.
Three stab wounds in the chest, one puncturing the heart, and scars that resembled a smile. On the wall, written in blood, was the initials JTK and the words go to sleep.
Skyler scoffed. He was so full of himself no wonder Skyler was supposed to find Jeff and send him to her father.
She continued to read. The oldest of the three children born to the Miller family. He was 16 years old and had planned on early graduation.
"Mm the princess, Skyler Ann herself, decided to read about my work." A gravelly voice came from over her shoulder.
He had brown hair and deep brown eyes. His name: Nico J. Miller.
"Hey, beautiful." Jeff waved his hand in front of Skylers face.
"As if." Skyler snorted looking up at Jeff.
"Whatever." Jeff rolled his eyes.
"My father needs to speak with you in his office." Skyler leaned on her elbow.
"Of course Faceless needs to talk to me." Jeff sighed grabbing a beer out of the fridge. Then he sauntered off.
"I wouldn't take that with you!" She called after him.
"I'm not scared of your dad!" He yelled back at her.
Skyler shook her head and looked back at the report. There was a picture attached of Nico before he was murdered. He was kind of handsome.
No wonder Jeff wanted him dead.
Skyler pulled out her phone and took a picture of the teenagers address. Something about him was familiar and she wanted to figure out what.
"That's creepy." EJ said rummaging through the fridge.
"You're creepy." Skyler closed the report.
"Can't argue with that." He shrugged. Black ooze had been smudged on his blue mask. "What do you need a picture of that for?"
"This kid Jeff killed, I feel like I've met him before." She pocketed her phone and walked over to the counter, taking a seat atop it.
"Oh?" He asked pulling a jar of kidneys out of the fridge. Morgan Wheelers kidneys will do.
Skyler gagged. "I know im not supposed to leave the mansion, but I can't help it. Anyway, I think we met at that drugstore on Third Street."
"That's oddly specific." EJ pulled a pot out of the cabinet next to the oven. "Is he the only teenage guy you've ever met outside the mansion?"
