    Dean:

One-night stands are usually that: one night. But there are those special occasions where a second meet up is needed. This is one of those occasions. Dean Winchester never thought that he would be at the hospital because a woman he knew for a total of six hours was in labor. But, here he is. One minute he was researching lore with his brother at the bunker, and now he's holding the hand of a woman, a woman he barely remembers the name of, every time she has a contraction. The doctor makes one final check, and sits down at the end of the hospital bed.

"Alright Elizabeth, on the next contraction, I want you to push for ten seconds. Then you can take a small break, and soon you'll have your little girl in your arms." The doctor says as a small group of nurses put her scrubs on.

As the lines on a monitor spike, Dean can only watch as Elizabeth begins to push. A small scream escapes her lungs, and the nurses rub her legs to try and calm her. Her arm reaches out for Dean, which he reluctantly takes. Another contraction begins, resulting in another scream from Elizabeth.

---

After a grueling half hour, loud cries fill the hospital room. Against his will, salty tears sting Dean's eyes. A nurse just whisked away his daughter, a new human to this world that he may never see again. Looking over to Elizabeth, he sees a smile on her face. He can't help but smile too. A nurse brings the now clean and swaddled baby over to Elizabeth, only to have her shake her head.

"Give her to Dean. He deserves to hold her while he still can. After this, he has to go back and-and..." Elizabeth trails off as the baby is handed to Dean, and he instantly notices her eyes roll to the back of her head.

A button is pressed, and soon a brigade of doctors file into the room. Dean is lead into the hallway, his daughter still in his arms. The nurses run back into the room as the infant begins to squirm and whimper.

"Hey, hey, you're going to be alright. The doctors and nurses are gonna fix your mom, and you then you get to go home with her. Just give 'em a little time."

---

"Mr. Winchester, we're sorry. We tried everything we could, but she just lost too much blood. Oh, and, she, uh, came back for about three minutes. She wants the baby to be called Charlotte. Charlie for short. Good luck. You can sign out when your ready." The doctor walks down the hallway, leaving Dean to his thoughts.

    Sam:

"Maya, you need to go to a hospital. I know you want to do this, but this is something that needs medical help. We can get Cas to zap you to the closest hospital and continue this there." Sam urges to his laboring girlfriend.

"No! I want to have this baby here. A place where there are no loud machines, or-or doctors telling me when to push and not to. This a process that a woman should be able to have complete control over, and hospitals take that away. Our daughter is going to be brought in this world surrounded by you, her Uncle Dean, and me. The people who love her, and not a group of people who only want me there so they can get paid." Maya rants, sitting on the side of her bed and swaying with each contraction.

Sam realizes he's not going to get her to break, and sits down next to her. Maya lays her head on his shoulder and breaths her way through a pain.

---

"Well Maya, I say you're ready to go. Would you like me to stay to monitor the delivery?" Castiel asks, removing his fingers from her forehead.

"Yeah. That would be great, thanks. Sam, give me your hand before this thing gets started." Sam lets Maya take his hand and smiles when she squeezes it slightly.
