I felt as the summer breeze brushed up against my skin. I was waiting outside for Archie and Veronica to pick me up. We were going to head go to pops.
I know you might be thinking why can't i just walk there my self. Well here's the reason. They said they had a surprise for me. Personally i was excited but knowing them it's probably going to be a rather interesting surprise.
After waiting for what felt like forever they finally showed up.
"about time" I said while getting into the car.
"sorry B we got caught up"
Archie and Veronica both looked at each other and blushed. They have been dating for a while now. It's been very uncomfortable being around them since they would do all these couple-y things around me. I feel like the third wheel. Personally i wanted something like what they had, but i tried to not get caught up in my feelings and not think about it.
"um ok?" I said awkwardly. shortly after we all started laughing.
We arrived at Pop's. We sat down at a booth in the back since Pop's was crowded and that was the only seat available. We ordered our milkshakes when Veronica said it was time for my surprise.
"So B, me and Archie have done some thinking and..." Veronica looked at Archie.
" And what?" i said kind of confused.
"We set you up on a blind date!" Veronica finally spit out.
"what"
"Archie has a friend who is single as well and is very kind and sweet. Sooo we had the idea that you two would like hit it off so we set it up the blind date!"
I was kind of confused of why they would do that but also thankful that they also would think of me.
"um I honestly don't know what to say" I finally replied after being left speechless.
"Just so you know the date is tonight..HERE! at 7" Veronica said.
I looked at my watch looking at the time realizing that there was only 45 minutes til this blind date.
"How am i supposed to know where this mystery person is going to be sitting"i asked.
"Oh right. He will be sitting in this exact booth" She replied rather quickly.
I started to count the booths so i know that i sit in the correct booth.
"Ok well thanks for giving me the heads up but i should start getting ready for the date don't you think" I say.
"Oh right"
We left the diner and headed to the car. We ended up at my house quicker than i anticipated. I quickly ran up stairs to get ready. I tried not to show how excited i was for this date but i was genuinely excited. I was ready for the date. I grabbed my purse and phone and headed out the door. Of course i told my mom where i was going before i left.
I practically ran to the diner. I walked in when i was greeted with the little chime of the bell. I sat down at the booth where Veronica told me to sit at. About five minutes later, i heard the little bell ring again. In walked a boy. A rather handsome guy. He had a grey beanie shaped like a crown covering his raven colored curls. He was wearing a a T-shirt with a 'S' on it wearing black jeans and a leather jacket with a flannel around his waist. I kinda blushed by just looking at him. He saw me looking at him and smirked i blushed even more but this time in embarrassment. He came over to the booth.
"So i'm guessing your my blind date" the boy said.
"I sure am. Veronica set us up right because i don't want to be on a date with some one else's blind date" I chuckled. He chuckled along.
"Yes Veronica set me up with you" he replied.
"i'm Jughead. Jughead Jones" He said while stretching his arm out so i could shake it.
"Betty. Betty Cooper" I replied back while shaking his hand.
He sat down across from me. The waiter came to our table and we ordered our food. while we were eating he made a comment that made be blush like crazy.
"You know your really pretty"
"thanks" i said while blushing.
I kept on thinking about if we actually happened and how it would all go. these thoughts made me blush in the blink of an eye. I liked him even though i knew nothing about him.
After a while of talking about our life it was starting to get late.
"It's starting to get late maybe we should wrap this up"i said.
"yea your right"
i was about to leave from the booth when he grabbed my wrist butterfly's immediately formed in my stomach.
"let me walk you home" he said.
I smiled as in way of saying yes. While we walked home we talked and laughed and i could've sworn he was flirting with me. We finally reached my house.
He walked me up to my porch. We both stopped on the porch. We both looked at each other kinda just swaying back and forth. I thought he was going to make a move or something, but i guess i was wrong.
"I should probably head inside" i said rather awkwardly.
"yea you probably should" be said with obviously a fake smile.
As i was about to go into my house i turned around.
"Wait Jughead!" i yelled. He turned around, me running towards him. I jumped on him putting my legs around his waist. I looked at him then at his lips. I crashed my lips into his. For a second he was really stiff but then he started to kiss back. He started to kiss more roughly. We both separated to get a breath of air. When he just looked at me a smiled.
"I thought you didn't like me" He said.
"are you crazy right when i laid eyes on you i knew i liked you"
I crashed my lips onto his lips yet again. He later put me down and walked me back to my porch.
"good night, Juliet" he said with a smirk.
"good night" i said smiling.
I closed the door behind me and leaned against it with a sigh. "Best blind date ever" i said while laughing to myself.
