Johnny's POV
I felt light but sharp buzzing in my ear. My body felt weak like if I move I'll just fall to my death. I opened my eyes unfamiliar with my surroundings. My body tensed, but it out lyrics brought me pain.
Door opens
"OH MY GOSH, YOUR AWAKE!!" Lauren screamed running over to my bed. I groaned in pain. Lauren being 100 times stronger than me right now.
"OWW L-LAUREN! That h-hurts" I choked out. She pulled away tears covering every inch of her face. It broke, your heart to see her like this but the only thing I could feel is happiness by just seeing the sight of her.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry" She cried. Now it was my turn to pull her into a hug. Of course, she instantly hugged back. The door opened again revealing the rest of my family. All of them have the same reaction as Lauren.
"Your awake!" My mom screamed lightly hugging me from the side. At least she knows can't take that much strength. I sighed in relief.
"How long have I been out?" I asked sitting up. I winced in pain. My arms giving out on me. I fell back onto the bed trying to catch my breath from this position.
"Calm down. Calm down. You need to take nice deep breathes. You've been through a lot of treatment to get where we are right now. You've been out for the night. Just take it easy." She slowly pushed me down. Making sure my chest rises up and down.
"W-where's Mackenzie? I thought she would be here" I said. Nobody said anything. Knowing the obvious answer I let it go. It was quiet for the next few minutes before Lauren spoke up
"When will he be able to leave?" Lauren asked directing her question to the nurse by the table. She thought for a moment before pulling out a folder
"Well, we would like to keep him here for a couple more days. Just to make sure everything is going correctly. Just a few more days. 5 at the max. But I'm not a doctor just a nurse. So you'll have to ask the Doctor She explained before leaving. I looked at my family who had sad looks on their faces.
"It's gonna be ok guys. I promise." I said. They nodded there head yes and went in for another hug. It, adequate me sad not to go home with them earlier but it's for the best.
"John?" A female voice said in the doorway. I recognize the voice as someone I knew growing up. I looked over and I was right. She's back.
"N-Nadia" I whispered looking right at her. A smile grew on her face as she came over to me. My heart fluttered having her here.
"Um, we'll just leave you guys alone. Well, see you tomorrow John" My mom said kissing my forehead them leaving. It was quiet for a moment, neither of us not knowing what to say.
"When did you get here?" I asked breaking the silence.
"Oh, just last night. I heard around you got your ass in the hospital. What happened anyway?" She said playfully punching my arm. I pretended to be hurt earning a sly reaction from her.
"I'm don't really know. I actually woke up like an hour ago. I had no idea what was happening. I was scared. I think I passed out though" I thought to myself. The last thing I remember was talking with you! Mackenzie by my locker. I ran out in the Ina rush. Then I wake up in the hospital
"I heard the nurse and the doctor talking about you having an anxiety attack. Your blood pressure was high and you weren't breathing right. That caused you to get light-headed and pass out." Nadia explained. I nodded my head remembering I was in that state
"Thanks for coming to see me. I don't what I would've done if you didn't. Actually, I kinda missed you" I whispered. If I didn't know any better I could've sworn I was blushing extra hard right now. I'm not sure I'm am but I'm 100% sure Nadia is
"Thanks, John. I kinda missed you too. I mean who else was gonna throw my back to school party. I mean I'm BACK! That deserves a celebration" Nadia joked. I laughed coughing a little at the end. She gave me a serious look pushing back down on the bed looking into my eyes
"Wait you were serious?" I asked
"Uh duh I'm serious. We're gonna need chandeliers, beer, football players, as band or 6. Food, celebrities, our friends, the whole school, and many more. This is gonna be epic" Nadia trailed off storming around the room. I shook my head in disbelief. Is think she was actually serious
"We're you always this funny?" I laughed. Nadia walked back over to the bed sitting down next to me. She took my hand squeezing it tightly.
"Johnny, you have no idea how much I missed you" She whispered staring into my eyes. I started to get scared. My chest heaving up and down. I could see Nadia getting slowly closer and closer to me. Next thing I know we were kissing. Her lips were soft and sugary. I never wanted to pull away
"I heard about you and Kenzie. I'm sorry about what she did to you" Nadia said pulling away. Soft tapping footsteps were telling heard retreating down the hallway. I wanted to see who it too was but they were long gone by the time I tried to get up.
"That's ok. I hope were could regain our friendship though. I mean I do love her, she just hurt me so bad" I said memories of yesterday popping into my head. So much happened it was crazy.
Door opens
"Mr. Orlando. This is you and the doctor I was talking about. If you have any questions then you could report them to him." The nurse said before taking her to leave. I nodded my head turning my gaze over to him the doctor
"Nadia Mr. Orlando and I will need some privacy, please. May you step outside for a moment?" The doctor said opening the door. Nadia sighed softly before getting up and leaving the room
"Actually daddy I think I'm ready to go home. I'll see you said that dinner" Nadia said before closing the door. I think I was left shocked. My doctor is one of my best friend's fathers.
"I think don't think we had said that proper meeting. I'm doctor's turner. I'll be taking care of you these next few days"
