chapter 2

i quickly brought myself back into the real world to see mr. kim looking at me, worried. "ms.kang? are you alright?" he asked with a sweet voice.

"yes, i'm so sorry,mr. kim." i said as i slightly bowed on my chair. he smiled and continued the interview.

a few minutes passed and the interview was complete. i soon learned that his full name is kim namjoon. he seemed to be pleased with my answers so i had high hopes.

"please give me a moment, ms.kang." the tall man said as he stood up and left the room with his phone, already dialing a number.

*namjoon's pov*

i left the room and quickly dialed jin hyung's number.

"yeobeoseyo?"
"jin hyung. i found her."
"do you mean-"
"yes, what do i do?"
"keep her safe and do not let her go without anyone keeping an eye on her. her life is at risk, especially if he finds her. we now know that she is closer than he thought which gives us an advantage. do not let the word spread. i'll be over soon."

i turned off my phone as i entered the office again, to see yoojin straightening up her back as she feels my presence.

"ms.kang, you have been hired. please wait downstairs and search for mr.jung in the lobby." the man spoke and her face lit up. she quickly excused herself and headed down into the lobby.

*jin's pov*

i came inside namjoon's office to see him sitting down. "hey." i said as i sat down.

he raised his head and smiled. "we need to think harder." he spoke and i nodded. "where is she?" i asked, eager to see her. "she's in the lobby looking for hoseok." he answered and i hummed in response.

"look, she is important to us and the prince. we don't know his capabilities and his true intentions with the girl. but according to the rumours, it doesn't seem good." i briefly explained the situation and namjoon palmed his forehead as he summoned the other 5 men with the pager.

"yoongi hyung, hoseok hyung, jungkook and taehyung ssi, please come into my office now." he called the men and grabbed a pen and file and observed it.

*hoseok's pov*

"so, these are his schedules and this is his important files. you musn't open them without his consent." i explained to the girl as she nodded and took the things in her hands. i smiled as she quickly looked over at the items and mumbled to herself.

"yoongi hyung, hoseok hyung, jungkook and taehyung ssi, please come into my office now." i heard the pager and quickly prepared my things.

"i'm sorry yoojin ssi, i need to go. just head over to ms.lee over there and ask her to give you a tour." i explained as i pointed at ms.lee, who was collecting documents and notes from the previous meeting.

yoojin nodded as she headed her direction. i quickly tucked in my chair as i headed upstairs to namjoon ssi's office.

*namjoon's pov*

i waited as the rest of the men came, hoseok coming last. "sorry namjoon ssi, i was explaining some last minute details to yoojin." he explained why he was a bit late and i nodded.

we all sat down and i took out the file. "hyung, isn't that-" "yes it is." i said, cutting jungkook's line.

i took out the documents in the file and read it out loud.

"on 12 December 2016, the crowned prince was spotted at a grand party hosted at the xxx hotel that afternoon. he was seen talking to many female nobles and one of them leaked their conversation.

"he told me that he wanted to look for a girl, she supposedly has long brown hair and dark brown eyes. she was a noble with a low class and lived in seoul. from all the information he told me, i made an assumption that he wanted to take her to his castle and keep her there. i'm not aware of his full intentions as these are just my predictions." a high classed noble, go mirae, spoke to one of our interviewers last friday evening. " i ended the statement and looked up at the boys.

"didn't mirae disappear a week after she exposed their conversation with the prince?" yoongi hyung asked and i nodded.

"she disappeared, many nobles assume that the prince took her and executed her after the interview." jin hyung added.

"well wasn't it her fault? the king made it clear to not discuss topics about the royal family to the media without their consent." taehyung said and we all nodded.

"but how is this connected to yoojin? there are many girls with long brown hair and eyes." hoseok hyung asked and i chuckled.

"the story doesn't end there, hyung." i said as i took out another file.
