6 months later.

It was finally around the time when I was meant to give birth. I had been to the doctors and they said any day now. I had already packed my overnight bag for the hospital so I was ready to go. Alex was asleep but I just couldn’t get to sleep. I was tossing and turning but I couldn’t get comfortable.

Suddenly I felt a pain in my stomach. I cried out in pain. “Alex, Alex wake up” I said shaking him.

“What’s wrong” he asked as he woke up. “Is it time?” he asked. I couldn’t say anything as I was in too much pain so I just nodded.

“Ok, let’s get you to the hospital” he said as he got up and got ready before he walked over to my side of the bed and helped me up. He grabbed my overnight bag and helped me to the car. When we got to the hospital he helped me out and guided me to the entrance. When we were taken into one of the waiting rooms I walked slowly over to the bed and sat on the bed.

“Sam and people are on their way” Alex told me.

“Ok” I said as I cringed from the pain. To be honest with you Alex was looking as if he was either about to throw up or faint. “Alex, are you feeling ok?” I asked worried.

“Um, yeah I’ll be ok. I just can’t believe that in a couple of hours we will have a baby.” He said. Just then Sam came bursting through the door.

“Oh my god, you’re going to have a baby today!” she said excitedly.

 “Yeah” I replied wincing and screaming again.

“Shh, it’s ok” Alex soothed me while holding my hand. Just then a doctor walked in.

“Ok, I’m going to see how dilated you are” she told me. “Ah, 10cm” she said. “It’s time to start pushing” she smiled... After 1 hour of pushing I was finally sat up in bed holding our baby girl.

“Have you got any ideas of names?” the nurse asked.

“Tori Evans.” I replied smiling at Alex and then looking down at the small baby in my arms.

“Ok, we will need to keep you in hospital for a couple of days and then you can go home.” The woman said smiling politely.

 I was finally allowed home so Alex and I walked to the car with Tori in my arms. When we got home Sam came running up to us.

“Aw, she’s so cute” Sam said quietly seeing as Tori was asleep. Alex and I smiled.

“I’m going to go and put her in the cot” I told them before walking up the stairs and into our bedroom where we had set the cot up. “There you go baby” I whispered as I lay Tori down and got her comfortable before walking back out to meet up with Alex and Sam. Soon after the doorbell rang and Alex got up to answer it. He soon walked back in followed by Tom and Dan.

“Hey how are you?” Tom asked as he saw me on the sofa.

“Good, thanks you?” I replied.

“Yeah great, thanks, is the baby asleep?” he asked. “Yeah, did you want to see her?” I asked. Tom and Dan nodded their heads.

“Ok, but she’s asleep so try and be quiet.” I told them before getting up and walking up the stairs to the bedroom. I quietly opened the door and walked in.

“She’s so beautiful” Tom cooed over the sleeping baby.

“She looks like you” Dan whispered. Tori moved around in her sleep and smiled as if she had heard the two boys talking…
