Prologue:
The day the tiger fetched the devil...
Airport, 4:00 in the afternoon...
Hazuko Asteroid's POV
I fixed my hair and fished out my iPhone from my pocket as I went out of the airport lounge.
I dialed my cousin's number and waited for him to answer as his phone rang a few times then he answered my call.
"Yo." I said.
"Aster?" Taiga's voice answered.
"Well who do you think it is? Satan?" I asked him mockingly, I could totally picture out his annoyed face.
"What do you want?" He asked in an irritated tone.
"I need a ride." I said.
It took him a few minutes before registering my sentence.
"Hah?" He asked in a mix of shock and confusion.
I rolled my eyes.
"Seriously? Are you that slow, tiger? Get your furry ass here in the airport. If you are not here in an hour or so, I'll find you and make your life a living hell!" I shouted to the phone before hanging up, making sure that the threat will reach whatever place he's standing at.
A few people stared at me as I ignored them and texted Taiga my location.
That idiotic tiger better show up or I will do what I intended to do...
Kagami's POV
"Hah?" I asked my cousin.
''Seriously? Are you that slow, tiger? Get your furry ass here in the airport. If you are not here in an hour or so, I'll find you and make your life a living hell!" She shouted before hanging up.
A cold shiver ran through my spine as I felt my face drain out of color, Aster does know how to send threats whenever she wants to... eeks....
Anyway, I still have basketball practice, that's alright, I'll just have to ditch---.
I stopped.
A scary coach or a terrifying cousin? Neither please......
But coach will be mad if I ditch her practice and Aster will send me to hell if I don't give her a ride.
A message from Aster appeared from the screen of my phone.
From: Lucifer's pet
Subject: Threat
Message:
Airport's entrance, now. If you don't arrive, I'll kill you.
-A
I sighed, I just have to ask Riko-senpai's permission to leave practice early then give Aster a ride to my apartment.
It was two weeks ago when she called me that she will need a place to live in Japan because she will transfer at my school, I couldn't find an available apartment at the time so I invited her to stay in my place until she finds her own apartment.
I ran to the gym as quick as I can and went to the coach.
"Senpai." I said, grabbing her attention from her clip board.
"Kagami, why aren't you practicing?" She asked in a suspicious tone.
I scratched my neck.
"Uh... about that... Can I leave practice early please?" I begged.
"Why? You better have a good reason to---."
"I need to meet my cousin at the airport, she doesn't have a place to stay at the moment so I have to take her back to my apartment." I cut her off because I'm running out of time, Aster might--- will kill me if I didn't show up in time.
The coach eyed me hesitantly before granting me her permission.
"Thanks coach!" I ran out of the gym.
"Kagami-kun!"
I turned my head to look over Riko-senpai.
She had a very big closed-eye smile plastered on her face with a matching creepy aura.
"Introduce your cousin to us next time, ne?" She said.
I gulped nervously then nodded my head. "Sure." Was my only answer before running out.
Third Person's POV
Kagami ended up renting a car as he zoomed over the airport.
As he was nearing Aster's location, he saw a silver-haired girl, waiting at a convenience store.
Seeing his cousin, he waved at Aster and realized that she couldn't see him so he parked the rented car near the convenience store.
"Made it!" Kagami exclaimed while huffing at the girl.
"Barely, dude, barely." Aster said as she slammed her baggage at Kagami.
"What's this?" He dumbly asked.
Aster gave him a look, signaling him to shut up before she explodes.
Kagami pointed to himself then nodded his head with a 'zip' motion on his lips.
Aster sat next to the driver's seat as Kagami placed her things behind her.
As the two sat comfortably at the rented car, Kagami started the engine.
Right before Aster could react, Kagami yet again kicked the gas pedal too hard as the car practically flew to the sky.
"Slow down you idiot!" Aster shouted.
Kagami focused on the road with a determined face.
A few moments later, Aster moved to glance at Kagami.
"Do you always drive like this?!"
"Like what?!"
"Like the hounds of hell are after your soul!?"
"Umm.... maybe?"
The pair arrived infront of Kagami's apartment building, their appearances are so disheveled that you could compare them to a mad man.
"Hey Taiga...." Aster said slowly.
"Yeah?"
"You could beat a speedster in a car race if you want to." She said with a slight grin.
"Glad you appreciate my cool driving skills." Kagami said smugly.
"Driving skills, my ass! Do you even have a license for driving? And what's your speed limit here? You almost made the car fly into heaven, and tell you what, I might have sent you to hell earlier."
"I'll share you my secret, I don't actually have a clue about what you're talking about."
"Damn it, tiger..."
"I know..."
End of Prologue...
/OMAKE/
Meanwhile, at Seirin High...
Hyuga went to approach the coach after the basketball practice.
"Oi, Riko." He said.
"Hmm?" Riko didn't even look up from all of her paper work for the team, she was quite busy.
"Why did Kagami went home early? Is there a problem?" Hyuga asked worriedly.
"Uh... no... not, quite. Hm... I think he went to celebrate his birthday?" Riko said, totally forgetting the reason behind Kagami's early leave.
Hyuga stayed silent for awhile before a thought came to his mind.
He called all of the basketball team.
"Oi! Listen up, rats! We have a birthday party to attend!" Hyuga shouted.
Uh-oh....
