Encounter: Spark (part 3)

When the longest one second in history passed, both their eyes flashed back to normal. The sensations of lucidity, the rushes and the spiral all disappeared. As though they never appeared in the first place.

However, within that quick timeframe- whatever anxiety, fear, suspicion, or any negative sensations and thoughts they had before that, suddenly vanished.

....

"I have a plan."

Lisa quickly recovered as she immediately motioned.

In that flash of clarity, her brain formulated the idea of luring the hostile forces in and killing all of them in one swoop. After asking them 'kindly' what this bullshit was all about first, of course. She internally stated.

"Play along with me for a while, okay?" She continued.

Jennie's gaze somewhat contained a strange glow as she looked at the blonde. However, that only appeared in split second before her expression turned back to normal. Her thoughts indecipherable.

She blinked once before quickly uttering..

"Okay."

Lisa suddenly felt something was off. However her gut also told her that it wasn't something threatening. So given the current circumstances, she immediately threw it at the back of her head and gave priority to the urgent things at hand.

She then swiftly adapted a look of sudden dilemma as she 'worriedly' turned to her bag and rummaged through.

"Where is it now~" she mumbled.

"Ah, there it is." The blonde said triumphantly, patting her chest in 'relief' as she took out an item.

"A lipstick?" Jennie incredulously asked. Perplexed, she raised her brow as she said.

"Are you planning a beauty trap or something?"

"Ew. Hell no. Wtf." Lisa rolled her eyes.

"Well, not now at least. Anyway, this is a signals jammer. Twist it enough and it'll run an interference, jamming everything within a 100m radius. Let's keep moving before they get suspicious." She continued as the two of them immediately resumed walking towards the car.

"Won't it affect all electrical devices though? Like turn them all off all of a sudden or something?"

"That's an EMP love, a signal jammer only jams signals, other than that, it won't affect the electrical devices in any way."

"Oh.... beauty trap." Jennie said with a teasing glance.

Her meaning was clear. With the blonde stating. 'Not now at least' must have meant, at some point, that did happen.

Lisa glared helplessly at the brunette as they made their way into the car. She refused to explain it for now.

....

The situation that called for an immediate action got exactly that from the brunette. The spark that happened earlier somehow rid her of the fear and anxiety, replaced with confidence and dominance.

Although the latter once left her as well, it wasn't completely gone yet, and add to the fact that she now felt her inexplicable trust towards Lisa strengthened— Jennie grabbed the chance of still feeling clear headed and complied with Lisa's plan.

There's also that...

Jennie silently thought as she surreptitiously glanced at the blonde with a curious look in her eyes.

Along the ride, the girls were 'leisurely' chatting with each other. Lisa already gave Jennie the heads up that the car was tampered with, and they both knew that they had to somehow make everything look normal, at least until they could proceed with phase 2 of the plan.
