When (y/n) awoke, she was still on the ship, just not where she remembered being. When had she gotten inside? She stood up steadily, feeling a bit uneasy, no doubt from the blow she'd taken last night. When she caught her balance she found that she was standing steadily. The ship wasn't rocking as it usually was. (y/n) walked onto the deck to find that she was no longer on the open sea, but in fact on land. A sudden cold hit her skin, sending a chill up her spine. She was stuck in a (f/c) t-shirt, used to the sun beating down on her from days of travel. When did the climate change so drastically? Surely the storm hadn't taken them that far. Had it? She walked off the ship, finding Katelyn and Aphmau standing by the shoreline. "Guys!" She called as she ran over. "Where are we? What happened?" She asked frantically. The two girls holding the map shared a concerned glance before explaining to
(y/n). "The storm last night threw us completely off course. We're not sure where exactly we are, just that we're marked off the map." Aphmau explained slowly. (y/n) nodded. "Is everyone safe?" She asked. Katelyn nodded. "Yes, everyone's perfectly fine." (y/n) let out a sigh of relief. Nekoette and Dimitri crawled out of their spots aboard the ship and ran to the beach. "Yay! Adventure!" Dimitri giggled in excitement, running around on the icy sand. "Be careful you guys! It's slippery." Katelyn called absent mindedly, still looking down at the map. "Come on Nekoette! Let's go exploring!" Dimitri yelled. The two ran off into the forest. "What the-? guys! The kids!" Laurence called. Aphmau and (y/n) shot up in response, running after the two quickly. "I cannot believe this!" Aphmau groaned as the three chased the children. After minutes of following blindly they came across a horrifying sight. The two were backed against a tree as people surrounded them. "Hey! Leave them alone!" Aphmau barked. The men turned suddenly to her call, placing their weapons back into their place. "Our sincerest apologies, ma'am." The leader of the pack began. "We've lowered our weapons and mean no harm. We just needed to know if they were imps in disguise or actual children... It's a pleasure to meet you."
He explained. Laurence was quick to gather the children, bringing them back towards the rest of the group with a scolding mutter. Aphmau nodded. "I'm Aphmau, I'm the leader of the upincoming group know as the Phoenix Alliance. Now, may I ask who you are?"
"My name is Asmund. Son of Erik. I am the leader of the proud Enki warrior tribe."
Aphmau paused at the man, reluctant to continue. "Well... uh... It's a pleasure to meet you." She stammered. The man, Asmund, smiled gratefully. "The pleasures all mine, now, what brings you to this island?" He asked. "Well..."
After a brief explanation of what had occurred the following night, Laurence had taken the children back to the ship while Aphmau and (y/n) followed Asmund back to his village in hopes of finding answers. (Y/n) sat amazed at the sight of the small village, finding it feeling homely. Aphmau, however, was more concerned with with the cold. When brought to Asmund's home they were introduced to his wife, who offered the two new, more fitting, clothing. The girls gratefully accepted before going to sit with Asmund. There, they explained more about their journey, even going into small detail about their newly added ears and tails. After the small talk was through, Asmund explained that there was no way he could help the group get home. "What? No, there's got to be a way." (Y/n) spoke, feeling panic sink into her chest at the thought of being stranded here. "Well... there is one way... the Demon warlock." That name sent a shiver up (y/n)'s back. Dealing with demons? Not good. Especially not for (y/n).
