The Simplest Answer?

A/N

     First of all, I apologize for the horrible writing and short span of it. My brain's also EVERYWHERE so that makes it quite difficult for the creativity to fully shine through. I also just really needed to get a part out. 6+ months of nothing? Ugh. I'm so, so sorry. I know you guys said it's fine but I just can't stop apologizing! I'm sorry for apologizing so much!

On with the story.

Error, Dream, and Blue said their ‘good-byes’ and ‘thank yous’ as they left the Save Screen. It was a blast. Error was feeling so much better already, if you can believe it. With a gentle tap, their feet hit the floor of the familiar house. They flopped onto the couch. Error closed his eyes, wanting to enjoy the low levels of stress for a little longer. Suddenly, he felt a strong paur of arms wrap around him, to which he flinched. He looked down to the adorable Blueberry clinging onto him. "... Blue?"
"I was scared Error. Everything's just been so off lately and it's had an effect on you... I thought that... don't do that again!" Blue said sadly, burying his face deeper into Error's chest.
Error mentally chuckled and returned a small hug, if you could even call it a hug. "Ok. Ok. Now off. I'm getting uncomfortable." He said amusedly as Blue unhooked himself.
"Adorable scene guys, but we've got some work to do." Dream stated from a far corner. Blue and Error looked at Dream and nodded. They stood up and got back to their spots.

A while later, Error looked up from his part of Ink's journal; deer in the headlights expression. "Would it be possible to just... buy ink and put it in viles?" He asked, out of the blue. Both Dream and Blue looked at Error for a few seconds and then at each other.
"That's so obvious... but it could be worth a try...?" Dream said, unsure. Blue scrunched up his face.
"I could disagree. There's no way that could actually be the solution, is there?" He said in disbelief.
"We have Envy already. Can we mix green with anything to make another colour? Even if regular paint doesn't work, if it has some of the working paint it could be sort-of good." Error suggested.
Ink piped up. "Red and green make brown, which is confidence."
Error scoffed. "You definately need that."
"You can also make lime with green and yellow, making surprise." He added.
"You really know your colours, don't you Ink?" Blue commented.
"Why don't we go try that right now? I'm sure Ink has paint in his room. We can try just a little bit to see if it works." Error stated.
Blue and Dream nodded in agreement, Blue calling dibs to get the paint. Error stood up and stretched before retrieving the Envy vial from the cupboards, where he kept it for safe measures.
"How could the answer have been so simple!?" Dream asked.
Error shrugged. "It might not even be the answer, Dream. It was just a suggestion. But I get what you mean."
Dream sighed as Blue returned, carrying a huge bucket of paints. "Yikes." Error commented. "Ya might as well be carrying brick walls there Blue."
Blue chuckled and put them down. Error went to fetch a small bowl to mix the colours together. By the time he came back out into the living room, Dream and Blue had set up the red and yellow. Error gingerly took the vial and put a few drops into the bowl.
"Red." He commanded, quietly. He was handed the red paint, along with a brush. He added a few drops of red and began to slowly mix. Within minutes it was properly mixed into a solid brown colour.
"Don't you find it ironic that Error is the one mixing the paint?" Blue asked, smirking.
Error had decided to ignore Blue's comment and got a vial from Dream, who already had some in hand. He carefully transferred the brown into the vial.
"Great. Could someone pass me his sash please?"
"Yup." A monotone voice replied as the sash was placed into his glitched hands. Error looked up at Ink. "Heh. Glad you wanna help out." He commented as he popped the vial into the sash. "Do us a favour and wear this please?" He offered Ink, although it was more of an order. Ink took it into his hands and slowly, very, very slowly put it on.
Error, Dream, and Blue stood back, anticipating the reaction. Ink blinked a few times and....

Woot woot.
