We're Not Like The Rest

Thoughts, Explanation, Training Center

 When I was about to step down, a woman and a man came in to our vision and then the door slides to close behind me. The woman was tall, about 5'10 I would say, and she had black hair and white as snow skin. She had a few freckles sprawled out in her face and black eyes. Her eyes seem cold and emotionless. The man who was beside her was even taller; 6'0 at least, had short brown hair styled up and a short beard. His eyes seem happier and he had a smile.

 They walked towards us and all of us took a step back. I step down the bench and positioned myself between Carter and Nathaniel. The woman and man stood in front of us without saying anything. That is, until the man broke the silence

 He clapped once; "Let's get this started!" He chuckled and the woman glared at him and he stood like here, all strict business.

 "Hello children," was the first thing she said "I know you may have questions as to why you're here, or how did we reach you,"

 "Hell yeah we do." Said Nathaniel, crossing his arms in his chest.

 She send him a small glare but quickly compose herself and looked straight at me since I was directly in front of her "We will have time to answer those question but at the moment, we cannot share that information with you, Roy here will talk now," She said, motioning at Roy with her hand

 "Okay so, you guys have powers. We've seen that you already know that and that you have shared that information with each other already. That's good because it means that I don't need to talk about it," he smiled and the woman cleared her throat "Anyway, you noticed that you can't use your powers, right? I know you guys are asking yourselves why is that, the answer is, we blocked them from you," He waited for our reaction and when we didn't give him anything, he continued ""What does that mean Roy'? That means that we decide when you can and cannot use it,"

 "Why?" Natasha asked

 "Because we can," He smirked but the woman bumped her shoulder with his

 "Because it's how it works. Now, we have chosen the eight of you because we have been watching you since you were born. It sounds creepy, I know, but everyone here has had a parent or a member of their family here, right where you are standing," he explained

 "What if your family isn't your real family?" I asked, raising my eyebrow

 "Well that means, that your parents and/or family member is still with us," he gave me a warm smile and I suddenly felt weird

 "Great, who knew my family would be psychos who watch kids since they were born and kidnaps them?" I rolled my eyes

 Roy's eyes suddenly widened "You're the orphan girl?" he asked, surprised

 "Wow, thanks for making me feel loved," I said sarcastically

 The woman glared at Roy and he said "Sorry" in a quiet tone

 The woman took a step forward and started speaking "As you all know, well... as Luna figured out, this is in fact, an experiment. I do not like to call it an experiment because in my eyes, it doesn't looks like one. Think of it like a training center for your powers," she said

 "Training center? How is this a 'training center' if we don't have our powers?" Asked Carter

   "Ah yes, like Roy said, we can block your powers, so we can easily unblock them. Of course, that only happens when you are here, when you are out in the real world, you will always have your powers," the woman, whose name I still don't know, said

   When no one answered Roy looked at us, but his gaze lingered on me the most. He then cleared his throat and asked, "Any more questions?" when no one answered, he continued, "Okay, now if you may, come follow me," He then walked through us, and the woman was behind him, making her heels click every time she takes a step.

  Everyone looked at me, waiting for my reaction. I kept my eyes on Roy and the woman trying to figure out where they were going. Maybe there are more wall/doors. My though were answered when they stood in front of the left wall. Roy and the woman look back and ushered for us to follow them. I started walking towards us and the rest followed closely. Suddenly, Nathaniel and Landon were at my side.

 When we reached Roy and the woman, they continued walking and we followed. It was a long corridor, but at the end there was a small hand scanner. Roy placed his hand and a bright light was going horizontally and then the hand scanner went green and the door slides open. We step inside the door and it was another world.

 It is the biggest place I've ever laid eyes on. It had an extremely gigantic mattress in the middle. At the far left there was a crystal door; inside it were rows of silhouette targets. At the right, it seems like an arena filled with obstacles to go through. I looked up and saw people looking down at us. There were computers everywhere with people working on them in, the top floor. There was a crystal glass dividing us from them and everyone was looking at us.

 "Welcome to the training center," Said Roy, expanding his arms, to show us the place. "The people you see up there are the people who has been watching you since you were born, and they are the mastermind behind all of this," he paused for a second and continued "Now, Jade and I will change our clothes quickly but feel free to walk around and explore." He smiled and looks at Jade

 She strained a smile "Please, do not feel free to walk around and explore, we will be back shortly." She said and walked away with Roy at her side. I kept looking at their retreating figures and Jade, out of nowhere, hit Roy at the back of his head. Roy quickly looked at her and frowned, but didn't say anything.

 "I don't know about you guys, but this place is freaking awesome!" Henry exclaimed, looking at everything around us in an awed state.

 "Are we actually going to train?" Natalya asked, her voice cracked a bit so that means she was scared

   I was so deep in my own thoughts that I didn't want to answer her. I had other important questions in my mind. Then, Landon spoke my thoughts...

  "The real question is... train for what?" Landon answered.
