Stars Only Shine At Night

Chapter 5

             They walked for hours, never stopping for anything. Darci memorized the path, in case she ever got lost. They stopped at the gates of a huge castle. The sky was a darkened purple, and no stars glowed. Stormy clouds took their place. Deersoul creaked open the gates, they the pattern of a burnt skeleton. Darci felt a shiver run down her spine. Radioactive opened the massive door and disappeared inside. Darci gulped and entered after him.

           She had never seen a castle so grand. It's walls painted in an inky black, the darkened blue curtains hanging off the few windows, the floor looked as if you were walking on the sky itself. Radioactive lead Darci to an opened iron gate.

          "This is where we keep prisoners and captives." Deersoul meowed.

          "Like you." Radio rammed into her, forcing her behind the gate. Deersoul quickly followed him up, slamming the door behind Darci's tail. Then, they left.
