I rush towards capital mountain and see a trench line. They fire at me. I wave my hand trying to get them to stop. A voice comes out, "SPECIES?"

"Human," I try to yell. An arm signals me into the trench. I dive in and the soldiers surround me. A human comes up to me and studies my wound. They bring out this weird bottle and pour it on my wound. I feel like it catches on fire. I let out a scream. The others hold me down while the human wraps it in bandages.

I'm helped up and thrown a weapon. "We are holding this line no matter what," an alien says to me. I nod weakly and point my weapon out. Creeping from the fog are the figures of Unity, slowly studying everything. The same alien holds their arm up. They have a metallic facing and bright blue eyes. The trench line ducks down slightly.

The arm continues to be held up. The figures ahead become detailed. The arm is still held up. They don't know we are here. Silence envelops the trenches. The arm is held up. A loud noise comes from the other end of the trench. Unity stops in their tacks and spot us. They rush forward, firing.

The arm is lowered. I shoot at the oncoming Unity, who fall in rows after row, like dominoes. I continue to fire, for what else is there to do. Unity closes in as the bodies make protection for them. The large Unity aliens take each bullet like it's nothing. They get closer. Closer and closer. Closer.

A thunderous sound booms over the scene. The Warship above us is in flames, about to crash. It explodes. Shrapnel drops in from the sky in a ball of fire. I turn to the foot of the trench and start to dig myself a hole to protect myself. Service Soldiers run through the trenches in panic. Some follow my lead.

Unity jumps in the trench and hides with Service. The ground trembles as each piece of colossal metal slams into the soil. I cradle my body as dirt piles on top of me. Dust and heat flow into the trench until it fills it. Nothing by grayness is in front of me. Cones of light flicker around the endless dust.
