My name is Mera and this is my story I was fourteen when my older brother was called to war.At that time no one knew what he was fighting but he held his head high and excepted the mission . I wish he hadn't a month later and we didn't hear from him he would always send us letters but they never came. A month later we get the letter saying he died in battle my mom asked if she could have his body to bury but for some reason they denied us access. A few weeks later strange things started happening in the city people started going missing bodies started popping up everywhere . The deaths were strange their were no wounds just two small holes in either their neck or wrist all there red blood cells seemed to be drained from their body that was what the news said .Everybody at school was saying it was vampires but that was just stupid a made up creature can't be real or that was what I thought then. Three weeks after my brothers funeral I lay in bed think about what could've happend to him the government still refuses to release his body . "Lights out!" I her my mom yell from her room I turn off my light and stop my thoughts I lay down and close my eyes.A couple of minutes of sleep then I hear something, a lock clicking I open my eyes and don't move I look in front of me to see my older brother standing in front of me , my older brother who is supposed to be dead looking down on me .Without thinking I get up and hug him but I didn't notice the holes on his wrist or the way his skin looked he looks at me with red eyes dripping with tears I ask him "why are you crying" but I get no answer back .All he does is stand there looking at me before I can ask again like a bolt of lightning he is standing at my window "how " is all I can say before he cute me off ."I can't be here anymore you and mom must leave the city by tomorrow " before I can ask why he jumps out the window .I run over and look down but there's nothing not a body in sight I wonder was it just a dream , did my brother really come back ,how did he get to the window so fast ......
