I trace a raindrop, slowly, down the cold glass of the window, staring into the distance at the misty, grey sky outside. My head rests against the cold glass of the train window, jerking with the constant bouncing. I sit, and just think. My throat chokes up and tears threaten to seep from under my closed eyelids. Mum. Dad. I miss you.  I had to leave, there was no point going on there without them, no point in anything without-

In front of me, a carefree whistling sounds, and, jerked out of my self-piteous stupor, I open my eyes to look, no, STARE, at the person across the table from me, languidly sprawled across 2 train seats. He has his eyes closed, and I wonder what colour they would be if he was looking at ME. His dark, wavy hair is crushed up against the chilly glass of the window, and a crooked smirk widens his lips. His feet tap, clothed in scruffy red trainers, to what is presumably the beat of the tinny music that is on so loud I can hear it through his earpods.  His black hoodie is plain, warm-looking.

I gasp, a sharp, scared intake of breath, at his hands, marred with hundreds of tiny, white scars, and his eyes lazily open. They are green, a bright, emerald colour. He cocks one dark eyebrow, then as he notices my gaze, lowers it and tucks his hands back out of my sight. His eyes look at me, the bright green slightly darkened by anger, and he stands. With a quick glance at his watch, he strides off, through the doors at the end of the carriage.

I shakily breath in, even just sensing the danger enveloping this boy. And yet, I stand, and follow him into an empty carriage, out of sight.  With a sigh, he flops to the floor, and sits cross-legged, glowering down at something hidden by his hands, a faint golden light escaping over his scarred knuckles. I creep slowly closer, and stretch up to see over his hands, and, once again, let out a loud, shocked gasp. Hovering over his hands is a golden, glowing world globe.

He looks up, and his face contorts with fury.
