"I can't believe you just pretended you didn't know me!"
When Maria Hill was a child, there was that boy next door who was both aggravating and yet somewhat charming. Despite his failing grades and complete lack of any academic interests, they soon became fast friends. They were inseparable, although so many disproved. Zachary helped her break of her shell while she helped get his grades up and gain a scholarship into college.
Right before they went off to college, they made a last-minute promise that 20 years later, they would reunite and do something the most and exciting and daring thing they could think of. Going their separate ways, the two didn't contact each other again until that fateful day.
Because the most exciting and daring thing is to go fight off aliens, right?
NOTES!
-They really aren't into each other in the beginning. Hill find him annoying as hell and he finds that funny.
-Zach IS NOT a "bad boy." He's a clown and just likes to have good-natured fun
-Slow burn of course
-Hill obviously has changed since she last saw him, become more of a rule-follower and strict, so show the contrast with how Zach hasn't changed
