Hi, I'm Carmen, but half the people I talk to on a regular basis call me Karma. Kinda odd (and a funny story), I know, but what can ya do? Ya don't really nickname yourself.. Anyways, I'm currently eighteen, graduated a few months ago from Sierra High- some public school in the middle of nowhere.
When I left I was all too excited, which is why I find it ironic that a few weeks ago I had the idea to revisit it. I realize it's sort of a cliche, but I thought it might be interesting to re-explore the past four years of my life and then share it. I dunno, it might be entertaining. Someone might like it.
So I started high school in twenty-seventeen. The grand ol' twenty first century. Age of the millennials, worst generation in the grand sea of time. Best time period to be alive in! I was the "happiest emo on Earth", as I put it back then. Still am (if I do say so myself).
I'm pretty sure it was here where I started to develop into who I am now. I started getting into my passions of visual arts and music- really art in general. I started reading more and looking into far more serious novels rather than the silly children's books I'd been reading previous. But other, less tasteful things, began developing as well. I was diagnosed with depression, I developed anxiety- along with everyone else I knew, I internally snapped and that turned into an external snap so ridiculous that I'm about to write a story about it. It was great!
So, let's delve into my memories, shall we? Freshman year..
