It All Started With A Game (Shownu x Reader)

Chapter 12

~Minutes later~

I ended up buying coffee for them. Minhyuk was very delighted when he saw me carrying hot coffee for 7 of them. I handed them one by one, and when I gave one to Shownu, he had a sad look on his face so I peek to look at him with a smile, it's been a while since I do that to him....ever since he had a girlfriend.

He look up at me and frowned a little....more like he has a sad face instead of frowning though. "wae yo?", I asked. He furrowed his brows slightly, "you know why". He took the drink and got up before walking away. He walked out of the dressing room.

"he's being harsh on (name)-ah", I heard Kihyun said before I handed him a drink. He placed his hand on my head, "don't take it to your heart okay?". I smiled softly, "I just hope I can get use to him giving me the cold shoulders all the time". "good girl", he grinned before he patted it gently.

Later~

All of them were waiting at the backstage, I was with them, this is my first time being here since Papa told me that it's loud in here and wow...it really IS loud in here.

I heaved out a shaky voice, "god why am I the one who's nervous here?". I.M laughed, "you're not even performing". "I know", I laughed a little with a nervous smile. Wonho smirked, "that's just because you're not used to be in the center of attention". "are you talking about me or you?", I smirked silently. His jaw dropped, "ouch". I giggled before hugging his torso, "yah, I was joking".

He chuckled and shook his head, "I know that, you were never really serious about most things".

I look at him and pulled away, "yeah yeah yeah", I mocked before rolling my eyes. "ouch, that's double the hurt! Don't just suddenly ignore me".

They all erupt into a big fit of laughter.

While I was laughing I didn't realize everyone had quiet down a bit....that was until I felt two long arms wrapped around my body. My eyes widened, I was about to push their hands away but stopped myself when I heard a familiar voice near my ear whispering, "it's me~".

I turn around and look up, "Taehyung-ii don't scare me like that". He grinned before he close the distance between us with his hug, "I was wondering...should we tell the whole world we're together?". I thought about his words before pulling away slightly to look at him, "aniya.... I don't want to be known AND I don't want to gain haters for the news of me dating the famous Kim Taehyung of BTS".

"...Hmmm... you're right,  everyone's gonna hate you and I don't want that to happen, so let's just keep it silent between both of our group and managers", he grinned cutely which made me laugh.

"you better don't hug her infront of anyone if you don't want that issue to happen", Shownu interrupted us while we were cuddling and that made me pull away from Taehyung who looked at Shownu. "you're right hyung, ah anyway... I have to go to the others or they'll start searching for me again", Taehyung flashed his cute box smile, "bai bai!!", he waved a goodbye to me before he ran away.

"I could tell that he's definitely attached to you... how exactly did you made him like that?", Jooheon's voice could be heard from behind me so I turned my whole body to look at him with a smile and before I was about to answer someone said, "he's lovestruck", the warm voice belongs to none other than sweet Hyungwon.

"hei get ready, next stage is ours", Shownu said without looking at any of us. I sighed and looked at the others, "goodluck guys". All six of them smiled at me before they went next to Shownu. "don't be so mean on her", I heard I.M said to Shownu. "she's the one who started it". "seriously hyung? You already have a girlfriend...why can't you just let her be? Stop giving her the cold shoulder", I.M complained, "if you ask me hyung...you're the one who started it first".

I heard their conversation perfectly.

What Changkyun said was definitely right. Shownu already has a girlfriend but why does he still hate me for no reason and even giving me the cold shoulders. Does he still like me? .... nah that's impossible, he has a girlfriend. Why would he still have feelings for me.

They were already ready for their stage, I watched them from the side to make sure that no one made a mistake or any mistakes. As I watched them performing, I couldn't help but to notice Shownu who's a bit off, his movement was slower than usual and it made me wonder, was he always like this?

I thought as the leader of the group, they have to do the best in their group? But why is Shownu somehow being sloppy in his dance- Oh My God! My eyes widened as something happened on the stage, but they still continued the dance without a fuss. What the heck is going on in his mind!?

As they went back stage I rushed over to them and they were circling him.

"hyung, you okay?", I.M asked as he crouched over a stressed-looking hyung who was sitting on the ground. "don't worry hyung... everyone makes mistakes, let's just hope manager-nim wouldn't be that mad when he hear this", Jooheon patted his hyung's shoulder.

I sighed in disbelief and Minhyuk looked at me with a guilty look. I crouched down infront of his sitting form, "Shownu-yah... does your knees hurt?". He didn't answered, he's making me worry about him and he doesn't know it. I then held his hand before calling him again, this made him looked at me in shock.

"when did you hurt your knee?", I asked. He was silent for a while before he answered slowly, "I fell". "when?", I quickly asked after he responded, "you know what? Help him to go to the dressing room, he can rest there".

"yes ma'am", Minhyuk and Jooheon saluted before he assist Shownu to the dressing room.

Once he was place on the sofa to rest, I sat next to him and looked at him, "by the look on your face...you seem troubled, not because you fell during performing.... but because of something else, what's bothering you Shownu-yah?", I said with a soft voice.

One by one, the others left to mind their own business leaving only both of us. "you can tell me, Shownu-yah", I plead with a small encouraging smile so that he would open up with me. "do you want me to tell you the truth then?", he said with a small voice.

"please do", I insisted.

"neo ttemune(it's your fault)", he said straightforwardly as he shifted his gaze on me. His words left me speechless. "lately I couldn't stop thinking about you", he continued. Is this one of his confession? I don't think so, he has a GIRLFRIEND for heaven sake! Well of course it's not a confession. But...it's actually the truth so it can be called as a confession, right? Eventhough it's not a love confession. Okay enough with the confession and let's just hear him out.

"while I performed on the stage, I couldn't help but to think about you, your words AND your BOYFRIEND", he emphasized the word 'boyfriend' to me. My eyes were fluttering gently while hearing the truth that was coming out from his lips.

"why......why does it bother you that much? I know me and him just met and we instantly got together today but why the heck does it bother you that much?", I frowned. He let out a sigh and frowned to himself, "you're asking me that? Don't you ever understand?...... You met him..just yesterday and you even let him into your heart with just one go, but me? I've been waiting for years for you to open your heart to me but you didn't, you were oblivious to my feelings! That's what's bothering me!", he yelled which made my eyes widened and my heart sunk...to the bottom.

My eyes were already teary.

Never in my life, I was scold by someone close to me and the feeling of being scold by him made my heart sank. Before I knew it, I started crying while covering my face.

Just then, the door to the dressing room flew open but I didn't know who it was since I was crying while facing down. "Son Hyunwoo-!......dear?", I heard Papa's voice echoing throughout the room before I felt his presence close to me.

"why is she crying? Dear? Why are you crying? Please don't cry", Papa tried to cheer me up as he had his knees on the ground while facing my sitting form, "tell me what happened Hyungwon....the truth, I don't want any of you hiding the truth", his voice was angry but could be heard calm as water.

"....the truth..?", Hyungwon's voice sounded wary as he asked that. "yes", Papa answered strictly. "u-uh...", Hyungwon was still worried of telling the truth until the guy who sat beside me said, "I scold her".

"you..what?", there it was, Papa's voice changed. He was definitely angry. I know that if he's angry, he would do something bad to that someone....so I need to stop papa from being mad at Shownu. I quickly wiped my tears and said, "papa.....*hisk* don't be mad at Sh-Shownu-yah...... i-it's my fault", I held papa's arm before he could slap Shownu on the face.

"he made you cry! I will NEVER EVER forgive ANYONE who made my precious daughter cry!", he fumed but I just smiled at papa to calm him down, tears started to roll down my cheeks as I said, "please.....it's not his fault". Both Papa and Shownu looked at me.

Papa heaved out an annoyed sigh before he gave up and pulled me into a warm fatherly hug, he gently stroke my hair, "there there... stop crying.... papa is here for you", he soothed.

Minutes later~

"here me out okay? I want all of you to keep an eye out on Son Hyunwoo, I don't want to see him close to my daughter or even talk to her or even lay a finger on her", Papa said which made my eyes widened in shock. "mwo?". "I can... live with that", Shownu muttered, my heart sunk hearing him said that, unbelievable, I cannot see the same guy in him like a year ago. The Shownu I know a year ago is now........ gone.

Papa's face was visibly red due to his anger upon Shownu's words seconds ago and of course from the sad smile on my face it made him stop himself from being angry any further.

"and....as for you young lady, don't go anywhere near Shownu or you'll never meet your bestfriends anymore", this time his words were far beyond my expectation. "wh-! Papa! Staying away from that guy is good enough but don't involve my bestfriends", I whined slightly while shifting my gaze from papa to both of my bestfriends' shocked face.

"manager-nim, isn't that too much?", Jooheon furrowed his brows while having his lips agape. "that's why I told you, don't let her near him or none of you will ever see her", he completed his sentence that left me more than speechless. "if that's so, we'll never EVER let that happen", Minhyuk squeaked before he squeezed me in his arms.

I just stood there as if my soul just escaped from my body.

Then my papa's phone rang and he quickly pick it up, "I'm going to take the call, remember what I said okay?", he said before he left the dressing room to answer the call. Jooheon went over to me and hugged me, "I'm nothing without you so I vow to myself that I, We will never lose you eventhough we have to make you stay away from Shownu-hyung".

"bestfriend is far more important than love to Shownu-hyung, so please bear with it, okay?",  I heard Minhyuk whispered to my ear, I look at him. What made he think I still have feelings for Shownu? Do...I? I think he read my face because he answered, "I'm your bestfriend so of course I can read you like an open book".

"somehow I think you two have lots of similarities but for now we should make you stay away from him", Jooheon smiled at me before patting my head. "hey guys, since it's over now, we should go back to the stage and hear out the winner......or............we should just stay here and relax", Wonho piped up with a wondering look on his face.

"let's just stay here, I'm tired", I.M said out loud. "we all are tired", Kihyun grinned before he comfortably lie on the sofa with a smile.
