"You left, and now we are leaving," he winked.

"No," she scowled.

"Everyone out," Nicholas commanded.

The room cleared of the younger girls and Demetri.

"I'm not leaving," Maggie shook her head.

"Yes, we are! You shouldn't have left," Vlad stiffened.

"Ugh, you are impossible," Maggie gave in, storming out.

Vlad rushed after her.

'Lacey,' I thought.

She seemed to read my mind and held her hand out to me.

Slowly, she tried to pull me up and out of Nicholas' arms, but his grip on me was like iron.

Lacey struggled for a bit then stopped when Lucian pulled her away.

"Hey! Let me go!" She cried out.

I jerked, feeling her anger.

Nicholas held me still.

Lucian wouldn't let her go either.

"Please," she begged.

He just held her tighter.

"Don't order me," he warned.

"Ow Lucian," she whimpered.

"I'm not buying that Lacey," he scoffed.

"Ow my ribs!"

"Her ribs!"

We both made the exclamation at the same time.

Nicholas released me, giving me a quick second to focus on Lucian.

I sent a quick bolt of electricity to him.

He let go of Lacey almost immediately.

"Ow! What the hell?!" He exclaimed looking around.

I stood up, and Nicholas stood just after me.

He pulled me back.

"Lilian STOP!" He commanded, using a force in his voice that I'd never heard before.

I froze.

"Touch her, and I will end you!" I spat.

"I'm not going to hurt her, why does everyone think I will?!" He demanded.

"You just did," I pointed out.

"What?" He looked down, scooping Lacey up his arms and kissing her lightly.

She moved slightly closer to him.

"I think I might take up Vlad's idea of punishment for running and hiding," he added with a smirk.

Lacey's eyes narrowed.

"You play dirty," she grumbled softly.

"Always," he kissed her cheek again.

They soon disappeared.

I began away from the kitchen, not sparing a glance back to Nicholas.

He had used his authoritative tone to me, and it was so powerful that it had overcame the mate connection.

"Lily," Nicholas called.

'Lalala' I thought to myself, keeping my confident stride.

"Lily please don't test me," he warned.
