Basic pattern:

11 - combine the 10 (juu) and 1 (ichi)... 11 is juu-ichi

Same goes to 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and so on...

20 - combine the 2 (ni) and 10 (juu)... 20 is ni-juu

Same goes to 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90.

100 - hyaku

200 - combine the 2 (ni) and 100 (hyaku)... 200 is ni-hyaku.

Same goes to 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800 and 900.

1,000 - sen

2,000 - combine the 2 (ni) and 1,000 (sen)... 2,000 is ni-sen.

Same goes to 3,000, 4,000, 5,000, 6,000, 7,000, 8,000 and 9,000.

10,000 - ichi-man

20,000 - combine 2 (ni) and 10,000 (man)... 20,000 is ni-man.

Same goes to 30,000, 40,000, 50,000, 60,000, 70,000, 80,000 and 90,000.
