"Okay, bye."

He ends the call.

I look at him, one brow lifted.

He chuckles, sounding annoyed.

"My brother. He always knows when to ruin things. I'm sorry."

I laugh a little at that.

"It's fine. I understand."

I really do understand.

"You have a...?"

"Sister." I say. "Little sister."

He just nods his head.
"Where is she?" His eyes roam around the house.

"She's with her dad for the weekend." I smile down at my hands.

I sure do miss her.

"Do you both have different Dad's?" He tilts his head.

I've never mentioned this to anyone except my friends.

"Yeah." I whisper out.

"Oh. Where is she when I pick you up?"

"She rides the bus to school. It comes early, so she's gone before I am."

It's nice that he's taking interest in her, even if he's never met her. I never thought that anyone would have a connection with Bailey like Blake did. But, I feel like Ryder will.

"That's too bad. I want to meet this little sister of yours." He smiles at me.

"She'll be back tomorrow." I laugh.
"Don't worry, you'll get your chance."

We both sit in silence, smiling at each other.

I finally take this time to actually see him.

His neat blonde hair, the way his blue eyes sparkle in the light. That irresistibly charming smile that has all the girls swooning. Those full pink lips that almost touched mine. He's wearing a nice navy blue button up shirt and khaki pants.

He looks good. Why haven't I ever seen him like this before? Did I just not see how attractive he really is? Was I that blinded by his arrogance and huge ego to notice him.

"Checking me out, huh?" He smirks, raising an accusing brow.

"No...y-yes." I shyly smile.

"So, what do you want to do?" He places his hand on my knee.

I look down at where he's touching me, my breath hitching in the back of my throat.

"I don't know."

"Well, what were you doing?"

"I was just watching old movies on Netflix." I shrug.

"Oh, cool. Care if I join you?" He asks.

I don't see why not. I mean, he is my boyfriend now. Why can't my boyfriend watch movies with me?
