Winter Break

It was 7:00 in the morning, I was feeling a bit adventurous today so I texted the group chat if they wanted to come and get Starbucks with me. Of course, being the only one in the group who is always trying to make plans, everyone else dodges it besides Jared. Jared tells me he'll come to pick me up around 8, just so I could get ready ahead of time. I take a quick shower, wash my face and brush my teeth and throw on grey sweatpants, white t-shirt and a pair of UGG's. I go downstairs to grab my keys and there stood Jared on my front porch as I peek through the window passing by, I turn back around and open the door. 

"Hi Jared-" I drag out his name and close the door, we both run to his car due to it being freezing cold outside. 

"You want the aux?" he holds up the cord and looks at me, I quickly grab it and put on old throwback songs. As we drove to Starbucks, we we're basically jamming out and having a karaoke session in his car. 

We get to Starbucks and decide not to go to the drive-thru and sit in there. I ordered a Very Berry Hibiscus in a large, while he got a breakfast sandwich. We sat there for an hour talking about volleyball and about how many girls he's fucked in the following of last week. I brought up how it was so boring in Massachusetts and how there was nothing to do besides, literally nothing. 

Shortly after, he brings up a plan of all 9 of us going to California for a vacation trip. I looked at him crazy, and he had a serious look on his face. I took a deep breath, "I mean, if everyone else is up for it I'll go" I shrugged and drank the refresher. "Bet, say no more I'll text them right now" he quickly grabbed his phone and started typing away, surely no one would answer until later because of our time zones. 

We go to leave Starbucks and just sit in the car. 

"I don't know what to do today, I mean we went to Starbucks but I wanna do literally everything" I pouted and took another sip of my refresher.

"I mean, we can go play monopoly at my house and then watch a movie or something" he cleared his throat and looked the other way

"Okay, but lets stop by to pick up Sky, she just woke up and wants to hang out with us." I showed him my conversations with her and put it down quickly before he could even read it "OKAY LETS GO!!" I rub my hands together due to it being super cold in the car because Jared didn't want the heat on cause his nose was stuffy. 

We took a 2 hour drive from Massachusetts to Connecticut, while on the way I get car sick for being in it too long I tell Jared to pull over at the nearest McDonald. 

"Do you want to grab something to eat- I mean, have you eaten anything today?" he looks at me in a worried face and gives me his sweater. "If you're cold." 

"I haven't ate yet, I didn't think I was going to be this hungry" I take another sip, knowing damn well I'm always hungry-

"You're always hungry." he gives me half of his sandwich he didn't finish and keeps driving. "If you want, we can still drive to McDonald" he looks at me and waits for my approval. 

"It's okay, there's only like, 40 minutes left on the road till we get to Sky's house." I take a bite out of the sandwich and he clears his throat

"So that's all, we're just gonna go pick up Sky, then drive back another 2 hours? Makes sense." 

"I mean, we can stay at Sky's and then do something in Connecticut" 

"Fuck's there to do in Connecticut?" 

"Ion know, breathe?" I laughed and tell him we'll figure it out once we get there. 

He sighs and proceeds to say, "Okay, but if she don't got gas money I'm driving my ass home without you" 

We both start to laugh. As I finish the last bite of my sandwich, I tilt my head to the side of the car having my head hit the window, I was very tired and the songs we were hearing made me sleepy. I dose off and wake up to Sky already being in the car.

"Wait, when did Sky come in?" I yawned

They both laughed at me, "She's been in here for an hour, we didn't wanna wake you up so we just waited by driving around" 

"Wanna go to Cali with us, Sky?" I turned myself around and looked at her.

"When?" she looked up from her phone and closed it.

"Uh, maybe around winter break, don't know. We're planning to go as a group."

"D-did- NIGGA DID YOU NOT SEE THE GROUP CHAT-" Jared pointed at his phone.

"Oh- oops." she laughed and scrolled through, "Yeah, I see it now. I'll go, I have nothing to do anyways"

3 of us went bowling at Callahan's Bowl-O-Rama and stayed there for 3 hours at most, we ordered a Supreme Nacho Burrito Wrap and sat there talking about weird people she kept meeting on Discord. 

We left the bowling alley at 6:00 PM, dropped off Sky and headed back on the road.

"Do you still wanna come over?" 

"Hmm?"

"So we can play monopoly and watch a movie" he cleared his throat

"Oh! Yeah, I'll go. I have nothing to do anyways"

Jared and I get to his place and it's quiet. His parents were out or something and he brought me to his room. He brings out his monopoly box and throws it on the bed, then looks at me. 

"Why are you sitting on the floor? Get on the bed." he holds out his hand and I grab onto it so I can lift myself up.

We start playing monopoly but, I get bored after 5 minutes and tell him I wanted to watch a movie instead. He sighs, "Okay." 

I lay on his bed, he gives me his controller to find a movie on Netflix while he runs out to grab snacks. As I browse through shows/movies I've already seen, he comes in with chips, drinks and 2 bags of popcorn. He tosses me my drink and lays on the other side of the bed. We were close, snuggled up and eating popcorn.

Halfway through the movie, Jared starts to stare at me and glide his hands down my waist.

"W-what are you doing" I push Jared's hand away and shift my body to the side, he starts to smack my ass under the covers.

I got up from the bed and told him I wanted to go home, he looked at me frustrated then shrugged it off and grabs his car keys.

On the way home, I dose off again for a bit just to wake up to Jared's hand on my thighs. I rub my eyes, "Jared what are you doing-". 

He clears his throat and takes his hand off my thigh. "Nothing, o-oh and we're outside of your house I was just trying to uh, wake you up."

I roll my eyes and get out of the car, "Thanks," I held the car door, "for the ride home." I closed it and went to open my front door. "Fuck" I say under my breath. I forgot my keys, and I'm locked out of the house in cold ass weather.

I run back to the drive way hoping Jared's car is still there and it is, I open the door and he looks up smiling.

"Hi, I'm kind of uh.. Locked out of the house can I just go back to your place and sleepover?"
